Yesterday, bounce much kitten?

6/27 Recap:
AMPS 165 +7.5 197
PMPS 159 +4 261

Looks like Neko finally broke the bounce overnight. It took a full 6 cycles this time. And that was for a 64. She didn't bounce as hard for the previous 31. :banghead: Sometimes it just takes her a while to settle down (stop being so bouncy) on a dose.

Another hot day, but cloudy now, cats are in the solarium taking in the heat. The bean just came back from working in the community garden (building compost boxes) and I am now going to stay inside where it's cool. Neko is a lot more active in the cool of the evening. Right now she's parked by the screen door sniffing. Last night she wandered around the deck and went down the stairs for a short yard patrol. Might have been some moth hunting too.

OT: The regatta in Washington is now over, they are probably loading the last of the boats on the trailer now, before starting the drive home. And DH is collecting a medal. :) He was a last minute substitution for someone who had a bad back this morning, and he and his double partner came in third in their race. And beat the other younger heavyweight mens double from our club. Many bragging rights earned today.:cool: Still to be determined if there is rowing for me tomorrow - they may cancel if everyone is too tired. Worst case I'll row tomorrow night and DH can do TFS.

Congrats to DH...it is so much fun being in a race...but to get a place and a medal.....what a feeling!
Hope Neko stays low for you today.
I am rugged up for the cold here. Six of the seven DGC are at the snow fields, at a place called Perisher, skiing in a state schools comp this week....... it is -1c there at the moment...expected to drop to -7c midweek.

Medals are nice but bragging rights are good too.
Bragging rights last a lot longer. ;) "Remember back to the 2015 US Northwest Regional Championships...." a phrase that will go on forever.:p All in good fun of course.

Elise, Liz, Bron, Carla - Typical Neko cycle with the high point in the middle, at least not too high this time.
@Bron and Sheba - Our local ski hills got very little snow this year. Been an odd one for precipitation.

Update - there are raindrops on the solarium roof! :) Forecast is possible T-storms and Neko has already come in.

Many congratulations to DH, I hope you do get to row tomorrow so you can start your share of the bragging :)

Nice to see Neko coming down (instead of going up, like Rusty!).
Congrats to your DH. It is always great to beat up on the younger and the stronger! And wonderful news that you are getting some rain.
Good luck on your row tomorrow, Wendy,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Wendy :):coffee:

Looking good Neko!

Congrats to DH! Where in Wa are/were they racing? Somehow I missed all this. Good luck for you tomorrow.

We had a few BOOMS (!!) today, one FLASH (!) and a few splatters, and then it was gone... I cannot believe the summer we are having. crazy.

enjoy your evening!

Still drifting down. Neko came outside with me a little before dinner time. I think we got 30 drops of rain. Enough to make it muggy.

Peg, Serryn, Ella, Michelle - Neko kept on drifting down. Much better PMPS. DH got another 3rd place yesterday, competing again his age group, but including bigger guys. Much better regatta than last year where he got a lot of 4th place finishes. The "younger" guys he beat today were maybe 2-4 years younger, but they've both been rowing since university and we just started 8 years ago.
@Michelle and Mannie (GA) - The regatta was in Vancouver, WA. Next regatta is 3 weeks away but only 20 minute drive, so I can go to it. No booms yet here, forecast says maybe overnight. I know on the summer. I don't think I used the sprinkler until mid July last year. Veggie garden needs lots of attention this year.

Woo Hoo Congrats to DH- Way to go! Bet that felt good to win braggin rights! :joyful::joyful: specially against the younger guys! Hope you get your rowing in tomorrow Wendy, no fair DH gets all the glory!

Okay Miss Neko, good PMPS - show us the :D!

We got about 20 drops of rain, but the lightening was kinda exciting though!:rolleyes: We desparately need a good rain! I got our water bill the other day, I have used more water than I did all summer last year! :nailbiting::nailbiting:

Congrats to your DH, what a shame you were not able to go and cheer him on. Hope you get back rowing today. Neko is looking good. That rain shower was a bit of a non-event, hope you get some serious stuff soon.
