Max was up at his usual 5 a.m. time but stopped meowing fairly quickly. I fell back to sleep and woke up at his AMPS time so he got it about 15 minutes late.

Looks like we will be busy today. He was a happy guy this morning BUT I did have to get on the ground with him to get my purrs and head butts. I'm thinking pain is his problem more than ever. I'll pick up some cosequin today. I'm glad to know they sell it at Pet Smart. I think I'll check Petco as well.

Thanks,, Julie. I left the computer on while I showered and dried my hair, LOL. I'm trying the small amount of mc with some lc food to see if he will surf and not go lower or higher. I think we were right not to take a full reduction. Small amounts seem to make a huge difference with Mr. Max.

in general, as long as you're still having numbers over 120, you want to give as much insulin as you can without him going too low. you have to apply good sense to it, but you've got a great understanding of how Max responds to the insulin and to his dose changes. i think the choice to reduce a shade was just right. i'm just thrilled that he's holding it.

Me too!! This is the first time although perhaps he was already on a little less with the syringe change. But officially the first time he has held a reduction. :-D

Max is looking GREAT today. Congratulations two you on successfully holding the reduction. :-D Hopefully, he'll continue to "settle" into this dose and flatten out to bring down some of those stray higher numbers.

Did you give him some of the bupe you had and did it make a difference? He's eating better today, I'm assuming.

He seems to me to be a lot like Gracie where little changes matter, as you said.

I didn't give the bupe because I wasn't going to stay with him this afternoon to see hiw he reacts. I'll try tonight. I'm not so worried about his appy as his sleeping and pain.

Yep, he is keeping me busy like Gracie. I left him for my mom!s at +7.5 surfing with food in case he drops a little.

We did good during the day but are still too high at the PMPS. I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of a bounce. He did heat some of the food I left out when I left at about +8 but that should have worn off, right?

So my sister took my mom to the lab for the blood test and got there 10 minutes after they closed. The doctor called this evening and was not happy. Nobody told her when they would close or where to take her if that happened. So now home health care will come out tomorrow for a finger stick and I don't know how accurate that will be. Please keep the prayers coming. The nurse told her that she had a patient that had to be hospitalize for 3 months to get it under control again after this AB.

I hope everyone has a nice evening with lots of green, no drama, and no pj parties.

Updtae: I hope he doesn't go any higher with this bounce and ruin our record. Looks like I will get my wish about not having another pj party.

Hi Catherine. My sister got to the lab too late so she wasn't able to get the blood drawn. Home health care will come to the house tomorrow and do a finger prick test. Thanks for the prayers.
