Happy Caturday LL ~
We started Eddie's A/B last night and he seemed to tolerate it just fine. This morning, we started his new pen, and dropped off his free catch sample at the vet's office. I got a call just a little bit ago that his sample was "negative." I'm not 100% sure what that technically means, but I assume negative for the presence of bacteria? We were instructed to discontinue the A/B. I know free catch sample is really prone to contamination, but is as much of a concern about a false negative?
In any event, with Eddie finally hitting blue numbers today, I really have to think the insulin was the culprit. That could definitely explain the flat cycles, and maybe even what seemed to be a lack of duration. I'm guessing that if it was weakened or inactive, that we will basically be seeing the depot rebuild over the next several cycles. Either way, I'm really happy to see blue today, and I hope we will see Eddie getting back on track here soon.
