Crystal surprised me this morning with an AMPS of 185  but unfortunately it didn't last. I gave her 4uR as I was going out with a friend to a brocante and wasn't sure how long we would be, as it turned out not too long as it got very hot again and we soon spent all our money on some wonderful bargains so were back home at lunchtime. She's been pretty flat most of the day and I've just taken her +10 and decided to give her a dose of R now, rather than at PMPS and see how that works .... it's all trial and error with the R doses at the moment, paws crossed it works, we shall see later.

OT newsflash - you may remember I told you all about my GF losing her cat Felix back in Feburary - he escaped from the carrier on arrival at the vets and was never seen again, despite numerous search parties. Well, today he has turned up back home, a great deal thinner but otherwise quite well for his extraordinary journey. She lives about 5 kilometers from the vet but with a really busy main road in between, which he has had to cross at some point, go through the town and out the other side across farmland to get back home, how amazing is that - she is absolutely estatic to see him, he's had a good dinner and will be getting wormed and defleaed tomorrow. I am so happy for her, she prayed very hard for his safe return and her prayers have been answered :):):) never give up hope!

What a happy reunion. Have to wonder how they ever find their way home. Sometimes you see on TV. how a cat or dog gets lost and travels miles to get back home. Maybe starting the R at + 10 will help to bring Crystal numbers back down. Like you said trial and error. Hope you had a good time shopping.

Thanks Rhonda and Peg for checking in on Crystal. Not much change so far, usually takes about 4 hours before we see any movement. I had to open a tin of GrantaPet veal and rabbit as her raw chicken mix was decidely "off" when I went to serve it, stupid bean left it out in this heat instead of putting it back in the fridge :banghead: At least it's a change for Crystal, but she will turn her nose up at it after a couple of servings.

We are all together on the terrace, beans enjoying a cold glass of wine and cats eyeing the bbq speculatively wondering what's cooking, bit of a pork fest tonight with ribs and kebabs so they might not be so interested. Bolly, on the other hand, has definately booked his place at the table. bbl

Hi Suki.
Great news about your friends cat! They are markable creatures really.
I thought the R at .+10 was a good idea...sorry it didn't work...but it might next time

Down Crystal, down please! But slowly.

Great news on GF's cat. My cousin had a cat go missing for 3 years, just walked in the cat flap and went to the feeding dish when he came back. Amazing creatures.

(((((Suki)))) It's hard and I can hear the discouragement in your words, hang in there. You're doing everything possible, and an outstanding job of it too. I know Crystal is in good hands!

That is nothing short of a miracle your Felix found his way home after all this time! Amazing!

What a lovely sounding BBQ- the shopping sounded fun too! :joyful: p.s. I can understand you don't like canned tuna, neither do I. We can get fresh tuna from the Pacific Ocean, so it is seared and tastes nothing like what they sell in the grocery stores.
