Allie is doing great except for her neuropathy, I'm hoping lower numbers will help. She is still her same self...thank goodness. She has been much more chilled with the lower numbers (almost smiling while she sleeps).

I'm glad you increased yesterday. I'm hoping you'll find a dose where she can see a little bit of green. And none of that pink Allie, OK?

She is a tough cat that is for sure, I just love her to pieces. The biggest thing is the neuropathy I've started putting up things for her to get up on the bed and sofas. Allie is starting to get some dandruff on her back but she won't let me brush her! I try and sneak while she is eating. I brush my other cat Cassie twice a day at least...she lets me know when its time. Even after all these years, Allie is like no way, not going to happen.
The vet recommended Cobalequin B12 for her. I bought her the Doctors Best B12. I'm also looking at all the foods and trying to find options that are low carb and lower in phosphorus. The Fancy Feast is high in phosphorus IMO. I know neither would do raw and I'm not going to force them at this point.

You actually want Methyl B12 for the neuropathy. Cobalequin B12 has cobalamin B12.

Have you tried fish oil added to her food? It can help the skin (dandruff) and has an anti inflammatory in case the movement is hindered by arthritis.

I never thought Neko would do raw - she wolfed it down the first I put in front of her. None of this "transition slowly" for her!

LOL
Allie is the same way but I don't like to push my luck since she hasn't had any real issues with food. I shouldn't have said that!

OK then I can stick with what I am using as far as the B12 goes. I take fish oil daily and funny you should mention that because today I was filling my daily meds and dropped one on the floor and thought....Wonder if the cats can have that? I use the Omega 3 mini softgel 1,000mg.

@Wendy&Neko did you do your own raw or have a supplier?

I am trying to keep both cats on the same foods. Cassie is using the Royal Canin that I took away after Allie was diagnosed because of the carbs and then Cassie ended up getting crystals in her urine so back on it at a limited amount since her canned food has been upped.

Almost time to take Allie's readings to see where she is headed tonight. Yesterday we surfed those blues  and back to yellow we went.

Have done both. There are a couple brands made locally that I trust. In Neko's time, I knew both the purchaser and plant safety/sanitization person. But a couple of their types of meat had ground bone in them, so when Neko started with CKD, I switched the poultry ones to ones I made with a premix. I'm not saying you need to go to raw, just not to write it off. There are lots of good canned low carb, low P products too. Turns out making my own raw was cheaper than some of the high end cans. I ended up on raw because my other cat had idiopathic cystitis, and his vet suggested raw as a food they both could eat. Neko liked to bulldose her way into his bowl too.

Very interesting, don't think I could find the time to do that unless I gave up sleeping. I've read that they add the bone...I get it they eat them in the wild but kind of freaked me out. There again bones are in canned salmon but I don't eat that :p
Well I can see how it could be a little less expensive, my gosh think I spend about as much on cat food as human food. Allie was running Cassie off her food but has gotten better about it and another reason that they both stay on as close a diet as I can get them. She is down again today on her numbers so she is feeling better :)

Off to update the numbers.

Gave snack an hour early she was hungry and so was the other cat and they had a good day together on the porch. Wanted to keep them happy! Got Reveal Limited Ingredient.
