LOL!! It's wonderful to hear that she's feeling feisty, even if it's a tad "misdirected"!!!

So great to hear that she is starting to feel better! It is so nice when they start doing things that seem kitten like! Hope you have a wonderful day!

I am suspicious of her teeth and her gums, her mouth smells really yucky (actually I like it though)
I am sure it's not acetone smell. if I take a photo and post it in the health board do you think someone can help?

ı checked with the other meter (roche accu check active) the +1.5 result is 144. What do you think about my kitties teeth :( Today I searched for a vet experieced in dental. I don't know what to do, I read that dental problems can cause heart and kidney problems later on :(

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

How about giving Tifil some low carb food to help her surf.

Her teeth look like there's tartar and/or gingivitis. Smelly breath is also an indication that a dental may be needed.

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

yes I will monitor the cycle, it's 12 am here... now she is 116 at +2.5
I am also suspicious of gingivitis and also dental.. but I don't know how I can find a vet experienced in dental... now she is on antibiotics because of the urinary problems, I think this antibiotic also heals the inflammation in teeth, I hope it will help untill we find a vet.

I will give Tıfıl low carb food with antibiotics now...I hope she won't go down so much and won't go up so fast...

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

I assume there's a vet school in Turkey. What about calling the vet school to find out if there are any veterinarian's who specialize in dentistry that they know of in your area?

The antibiotics may reduce the inflammation related to gingivitis. It won't get rid of the tartar.

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

Of course there is a vet school in Turkey but it is a long story. If I write it here it won't be ethic. I'll give you an example, last year I lost my cat after she got shaved!! I now it sounds strange but it happened. After the autopsy we learned that she got a blow. After she got shaved and came home from the vet she was fine, but the next day her back legs were seizured. She started vomiting and untill we took her to the vet she passed away with blood coming from her bottom. the worst part of the story is, this was one of the best vets in my city with alot of technological equipment. This vet was the only vet with diabetical cat experience.
They didn't apologize conversely they said that we can't prove anything!! It was so hard for us....
It has been a bad experience for us, really bad...
No cat dies after a shave, but mine did :(

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144 HELP Question???

At least in the U.S., there are vets who specialize in dentistry. It is completely ethical to consult with a specialist no matter how good your vet is. I realize that customs may be different so if this is culturally insensitive, I apologize. The way many of us here look at a our vets is that we are employing them. We are paying for their service. It's no different than if you were paying a mechanic to fix your car. Someone with a medical or veterinary degree may be held in esteem but they are still your accepting money for their services. They answer to you. You can choose your doctor and change your doctor and see a specialist if you want to. Why would it be any different when it comes to seeking out treatment for your cat?

Can you also update your subject line with your latest test?

Re: 6/27 Tifil PMPS 218, +1 137, +1.5 144,+3.5 113 HELP Ques

I meant I don't want to criticize the governments schools. Because the government does not give too much facilities for the vet faculties, it's not the teachers fault that things do not develop. without equipment it is not so easy to prove. In our vet schools, students are still having education to cure cattles. Because cows and horses make money and are property, not cats and dogs. So if the government does not develop this mind and does not keep pace with the new age, what can the teachers do?!!! So when the students graduate with experience on cows, without any clinical experience on small animals, they either find a way to improve theirselves by going abroad or they start using the "trial and error" method.
If I go to the vet school, my cat will not heal, she will go worse :( (No equipment in vet schools, not much experience on small animals)
It's ok to criticize the private vets though....
