yesterday not eating enough

knew the pred would get her along with the gravy food so she got her shot this morning.
She did eat her food in the night ( the gravy chicken and tuna) and she woke me up when she used the litter
box as she hollers now.... I wish i knew if it was the act of pooing that hurt or just her hemorrhoids.
Poor Baby.... but I can't do anything for either one.
automatically gave her ondansetron.... just in case... and she ate her first breakfast from my dh while I slept
but she's not liking 2nd breakfast after her shot - of course.

she was just laying here , ignoring her food when she suddenly jumped up and went and attacked the droolers ball.... she got two separate whacks at it and rolled it around before stopping.....
so a little play which doesn't happen much with her.....
we got excited to see it!

thunderstorm was a doozy last night..... we are going to clean the gutters today since they weren't flowing right at all and we have more storms forecasted all week. And the rain came fast and hard..... my flowers in my pots
look like they were hailed on. But they will recover.
I just love it when we get rain.

healing vines and prayers for all ailing kitties and beans.

Sounds like the meds have kicked in. If the pred helps her feel better and she were mine I'd up the insulin as needed and give her the pred. Just my two cents. :bighug:

Well at least Shadow ate, even if it was gravy foods! Continuing vines and prayers for her appy!!

.....And now for the graphic descriptions LOL! Re: cat hemmorhoids(no pictures ;-)) I seriously did not know a cat could get hemmorhoids! Does she have internal or external? In humans, you can't feel the internal one but they usually bleed; it's the external ones that hurt and if they get thrombosed- yikes! (don't ask me how I know!!) Can't your vet prescribe lidocaine or something if it's painful for her? poor baby!

Funny how a big storm happens just when the gutters really need cleaning!:rolleyes: Glad your plants weren't destroyed- hail is pretty harsh!

@Tiger and Ruth
yep.... vet didn't know either but when she saw her butt.... agreed with me....
I don't know about internal.... but you can see it pucker.... and protrude.... and it got bloody raw on the outside back in march when she had continuous runs. Vet said the only thing I could put on it was maybe a little vaseline since she would lick everything else off.
She does not want you to even touch the hair ( which was trimmed off last vet visit but getting long again)
I hold her on my shoulder and pull a spot or two while she objects each day. It makes her so mad she wants to attack my head ....
vicious cat hat ... she is.....

the latest fashion....
a cat trap hat! kinda like this
CatAttack_IMG_1136.jpg

boy you do not want to google cat attacking head images.....
lots of poor kitties with arrows in their heads came up and one cat with his nose bitten off.....

I'm glad she's eating some for you. I hope she feels better soon. Poor Shadow. Poor Rhiannon trying to trim her hair.

Poor Shadow :(! I've heard of using Preparation H for kitty hemorrhoids, but if she licks it off, I don't know if it would be toxic.

Toby is on pred. every day I don't like it but it is the less of two evils. He gets so sick if I try to take him off of it. Glad Shadow is eating again.

I shot the 82 tonite.... but now I'm wondering ... given her appy that it might not be such a keen idea.

so eat tonite Shadow.... i was just starting to feel less exhausted....

More appy vines being sent-- eat little girl eat!!

As feisty as she sounds, I can imagine you don't want to give her too many butt baths or attempt to shave her bottom!!:eek: Chronic diarrhea can cause hemms in humans and as you described, she certainly had chronic diarrhea, poor baby! I just wish there was something you could put on it besides vaseline.
