Recap 6/26
251 AMPS (almost an hour late :banghead:)
289 +2.5
201 +5
240 +10
208 PMPS
216 +3.5

Yesterday, first time I've overslept AMPS. Didn't even need a jolt of coffee to wide-open my eyes! Not such a great way to start a day off work! And I didn't even have a recuperating dog to make the "off day" worthwhile. Still no word on when his surgery will be scheduled for the fourth time!

Polly's really a conundrum right now. She is, however, pretty sensitive to shot time changes. Yes, I remember the daylight savings time wobble-bobble-dodge-and-weave. So I guess we'll ride this out for a bit. Boss people are gone all week next week so I'll have some flexibility if it looks like a dosecrease is due. And then, Rowsie has a dental on Tuesday so I'll need to keep Miss Polly out of the danger zone 'til that...

All in all, the head-in-the-oven heat is sucking lots of energy out of all of us. Poor dog. Poor kitties. Oh, no, even poor me! OK, pity party over.

Vines and wishes....

Marilyn and Polly

I commiserate you about this heat, Marilyn. And those poor kitties and dog, imagine this in a fur coat!
Hope Polly settles into some good numbers soon.

I hope Polly flattens out for you soon. Furball is sensitive to shot time changes too. I hate DST. Sorry the heat is so bad.

Yesterday my PMPS was 1/2 hour late - I was "yacking" to DH via text. I hate it when the kitty alarm clocks don't do their job!

Hey Missy Polly - stop me if you've heard this before (or heard me yelling it here), blue with a dip to green is the way to go.

I don't want to ask how hot it is there - I'm sure it's worse than here. No wonder everyone is flagging.

Speaking of DST, if you need to keep them at a specific time, say 7 am and 7 pm, how do you adjust? I know it is WAAAY in advance, but just asking?

Don't worry @Shiloh & Rhonda there will be instructions posted closer to the time - although I suspect you won't need them ;)

It's sounds like it's great swimming weather there Polly - hint, hint...

Sending some early good vetty vines for Rowsie in case I get swamped with work again in the early part of the week, and scritches for everyone.

The heat can certainly stress cats and beans alike, just sucks the energy right out of you. Paws crossed Polly keeps in those cool blues! We got up to 92F yesterday, hottest of the year and last year too (we never got to 90 last summer). We don't have a/c but it does cool off enough to sleep okay. Finally got a few clouds and breezes today with about 10 raindrops. Paws crossed for a change in your weather soon!

You have my sympathy on coping with the heat Marilyn, although I'm sure you have it a lot hotter where you are, it's just so draining. I love the early morning when it's still cool before the sun comes up too high, best time to get your chores done, even if I'm still half asleep.

Looks like Polly is keeping her paws cool in the lagoon, surf safely Pollydoodle.

I was just searching to see how will was recuperating. I'm so sorry that the surgery was postponed again. My nerves would be shattered. Do you have another date? :bighug:

Polly, I know it's the weekend, but that doesn't mean you have to do your swimming at night. The bean could use a good rest. You keep it safe, you, hear?

I hate the heat!!! We had a couple days over a hundred this week, then two days of 80s with cool breezes, and now we're headed for a week of 100s. BLEAH!!! We've been lucky that it's cooled down nicely at night, but I know that won't always be the case. I can't wait for summer to end!

Sorry you are having it so hot at the moment.......it does zap any energy that is for sure. On really hot days I don't do anything outside after 9am if I can help it. Hope it cools down soon for you
