Yesterday, blah day.
6/26 Recap:
AMPS 162 +6.5 317 +9 268
PMPS 249 +4 264

I get it Neko, you can bounce with the best of them. Anytime you want to stop this bounce, I'm ready for it. At least I got a decent sleep last night.

Neko seems to be drinking/peeing a bit less. I'm hopeful that switching out the higher P foods from the rotation and the Azodyl are doing something for her. It's definitely not any cooler here! I've got an appointment with vetty for a recheck on the b/w next week.

I've got the side door, front screen door and windows all open, trying to get some breezes going to cool the house. We don't have air conditioning in the house (most people don't here). Last night and early this morning, Neko was glued to the front screen, sniffing away. At least today, there isn't the odor of skunk coming in! Last night I had to run around the house closing everything for a while.

Happy Caturday everyone! Catnip at our house later on. I'll be doing the sports thing - watching Canada in the Women's FIFA World Cup playoffs and monitoring the race results for the regatta. DH said it was very windy/almost whitecaps yesterday, hence the slower times.

ooh... yuck on skunk.... no fun being in a hot house to avoid that smell....

no air conditioning here either.... mountains... but we do have a swamp cooler. ( evaporative)
but our high is only 83 today.

I don't know if Neko is bouncing with the best of them..... don't the best of them hit the red/black floor?:smuggrin:
Shadow told me to be a smartass.... ;)

Neko's mini bounce is a silver lining- bean's gotta sleep!! So glad to hear she's feeling better, the Azodyl could be helping!

Skunk??? If you have ever seen a baby skunk, they are cuter than a kitten! :joyful::joyful::joyful: DH's mom scared one though and oh my goodness it stunk around their house for days!:rolleyes:

I bought a portable air conditioner for myself a few years back(thank you menopause ) and I am thankful I did! DH complained at first but I notice he naps comfortably in his chair in front of it now!

I've seen baby and momma skunk combo's here lots. Almost as cute as a black and white cat. Before the building going on behind us, we were on a regular skunk walking route. Neko once saw a baby skunk too close!!!:eek: She got sprayed on her front chest. I got most of it out with scissors but it took a few days before I would let her cuddle with me. The bathing was not fun.

they are very cute....
i just saw one out the window at the nursing home.... it's hair was so pretty you would think it was getting brushed....

I had a cousin growing up who got a pet deskunked skunk. I wanted one so bad but only got to visit hers.

Enjoy the game Wendy, just seen some interviews with the UK team from Vancouver, the scenery looked fabulous, lucky you to live in such glorious surroundings.

Glad to hear Neko is feeling better.

Did you watch the Austalia v Japan game? Disappointing for us.
Sorry you are having the heat over there....we could do with some here at the moment.
Hope Neko comes down for you soon.

I glad to see Neko's medicine seems to be working for her. Hope she clears hr bounce soon.
I hope the weather cools down for you soon.

I remember how she used to bounce, boy was she a champion! I'm so glad she's gotten more refined about it.

Don't skunks only do their stinky thing as a defence mechanism? I wonder why the one near your place let fly? Maybe it saw Neko and was coming along to be amorous until he got close enough to realise she was a cat!

Thanks all for stopping in. Looks like a mostly blue day. I decided to ease off on the pokies as she wasn't going anywhere dangerous. And she was mostly out in the solarium and I was trying to avoid going out there. It's muggy and warm - just about wilted picking the berries out back. I don't know how the cats can stand it.

About the time of the skunk episode last night, there were a lot of dogs barking in the neighbourhood - I expect that is what set it off. Often cats and skunks will get along. Dogs, not so much.

Canada lost the football match. :( A couple of early mistakes and they join the Matilda's on the side lines. A pity, our star player is a local girl and the game was in Vancouver.

On the up side, DH got 3rd place in his race today. And it was an open category race. Rowing has some races specifically for lightweights (which DH is at under 160 lbs). There's a definite advantage for the typical 6 foot plus 200 lb rower to race against the lighter guys. But DH still manage to hold his own against some of the bigger guys. :)

Perhaps Monsieur Skunk was coming to court Ms Neko?

So sorry about the outcome of the football match. We were rooting for Canada and for Australia, probably the kiss of death.
