They have become really good friends with that tiny human that comes here and stays the day. They know he likes berries so much that they are trying some berry pizzas. Paw Prints Pizza is really getting some cool tings! revolutionary infused crusts, fruit pizzas, what it next! They aren't saying.... so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and and Triple shot espressos, with beans from Ethiopia, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a Venti quad almond roca infused mocha, with chocolate caramel whip, garnished with caramelized almond clusters, chocolate shavings, a dusting of crystallized caramel and dark chocolate drizzle... (I LUVS THIS ONE!, A Mannie classic!) OH! No worries, a dollop of almond and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

What a great day yesterday. It was nice to have Nicholas back in the house. He is such a joy, such a happy boy. He just adores Lola and Big, and will spend all the time he can playing with them. Lola seems to be his new best buddy,. She follows him everywhere, and puts up with his antics. It is very much like the relationship he had with Mannie. With Mannie it was more of a sharing: a best buddy forever thing, with Lola it is much more play. I took some photos of them together yesterday, so here you go: Nicholas and Lola video and Breffis: Berries and Kitties!

Yesterday was a swim day for nicholas. We spent part of the time trying to adjust to the new summer program that the pool has in effect. It did chnage alot for Nicholas, not all a good way, in his opinion. But so it goes with summers and pools: there needs to be time for everyone, and so the masses came yesterday. This is what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi Everyone! I hope you day has been a good one. It has been busy here. Nicholas and I had a nice day at the pool. It was a good day at the pool for the most part. In the past we do the play area first and then move to the bigger pool: his pool of choice where he has such space to swim and play in. It was funny in a way: to the minute little guy knew that the big pool time was there, a huge disappointment when I told him we couldn't. This was the first time I have seen him cry due to shear sorrow, not because he was hurt or angry or exercising the terrible two's. It was because summer session started today and he can no longer swim in the bigger pools, due to them now being used for lessons, summer programs, etc. He was so disappointed. Tears of sorrow. To quote my little swimmer: "What a bummer...." Poor kid. well he will adjust, next trip there will be better, less sadness. it was interesting to see to that he didn't get mad, just incredibly sad. wow. well anyways, needless to day we were out a bit earlier than normal, and ate an early lunch, hit the trails after that, It was kinda funny, all through this hike and berry hunt he keeps saying "I can't go to the big pool. what a bummer" LOL. well, I really need to contact his great granny and see if she will let us use her backyard pool - outdoors in the sun - it would be great. dunno though how she will feel about us there without her being around. guess we shall see.
LOL: what a ZOO there today at the pool. The line for the open swim was down the hall, out the door, down the sidewalk, around the corner into the parking lot. lmao. Needless to day alot of those folks didn't get in...." Picassa links: Swimming!, and Berry Hunting, once again....

Have a great day everyone. I am still on DGs duty - it should be a river or an out and about day for Nicholas and I. I'm still trying to determine where - darn weather! We are due for sunny skies and temps in the 80's, but we still need to get through a morning of a few rain sprinkles... I am hoping to find a place that is reported to be a bit drier sooner than the rest.... oh sure.....   I will try and get to condos when I can. Sorry I keep missing so many of you.... :?

KITTIES!: Think BLUE!!, Think GREEN!!

Good Morning, Michelle,

Too bad that the pool is so crowded now that summer is here. I guess Nicholas is too young for the lessons in the big pool. Bummer, indeed! Oh well, it's only for a couple of months. Can you take him swimming at the beach or is the water there too rough? It would be too bad to impede his swimming progress, just when he is getting so good. How far away is great-granny's pool?

Great pics of the kitties at breakfast with Nicholas. And in the video Lola looks like she is very capable of giving back what she gets in those roughhouse sessions. Nicholas had better be careful!

Have a great day and good weather for your adventure. Thanks for visiting us.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Elsa, the Ethiopian espresso is my absolute favorite. Thank you, Kitteh Barista!

Yep, Nicholas Bummer! Big time! Don't they have time scheduled for the little kids??? But you will find something that makes him happy. Hmmmm, any swimming holes on one of the rivers? Double threat!

Thanks for the Triple shot espressos, with beans from Ethiopia. Hmmmm can I put in an order for an iced mocha this afternoon, we are heating up down here! Thankyou, Elsa! -- Auntie Annbean

I love the video of Lola and Nicholas. That is so cute. That's great they get along so well. That is a bummer about the big pool. Poor Nicholas.

Hi Michelle!
Did i miss Nicholas getting a haircut?? He is so adorable! He looks so grown up now. WOW!! Today's pics are some of the bestest ever! I love love love #36 of breffis. I think that's an expression i haven't seen before. His smile is always enchanting, but this is tooo cute! And Lola watching her little friend on the counter is so sweet. You can just tell she's waiting for her turn to play with the water. Now, ...did you pick Lola because she matches your countertop?
I agree with Nicholas..what a bummer about the big pool. Grammie is going to have to pull a rabbit out of her hat about this one.
I'm sure you had great fun today. I hope the weather cooperated.

Elsa Lil Bit!!! I think this mocha is my all time favorite. Caramelized almonds. yum yum yum and with fudge. whoo hoo. Maybe,, if you're not too tired...will you deliver again????? I tried to save some of mine for later, but it was too good and i drank it all :-D xoxoxo auntie mary

Elsa, you gots my hoomin all excited this morning. She's a goofy one about your mochas. She even put some of the ice cream on my nose. I liked it a lot!! - oliver
lots of hugs and scritches from us

Hi everyone! WHAT A DAY! A long day.... if only becasue I spent alot iof it on the road, driving. Well duh on the driving. Nicholas and I went to a small RR town off of I90 called Snoqualmie. They have a RR museum there, with samples of various trains. It's a small town, a small exhibit, but what I really liked about it was that these are real trains, on real tracks that are stationary. Nicholas could go right up to them and be up close and personal. He just LOVES trains, and wow: he thought he had hit the mother load. :-D He was all over those trains, under them, on top of them, next to them, touching anything and everything he could. He was so impressed with the wheels, the car connectors, well just everything. What a great trip for him. We ended up there becasue it had the best of a rather rainy weather pattern here, and it had something I wanted him to be able to experience: trains up close and personal. We also went over to Snoqualmie Falls which was about a mile down the road. The Falls were gorgeous, and ever so full. The spray mist from the falls was just about everywhere. It really was beautiful. And Nicholas, being Nicholas, fund the only huckleberry bush there, and a few salmonberries so he was thrilled beyond thrilled.  What a fun day for him. I will post the Picassa link to the photos and videos in tomorrow's Loose Lips. Have a great evening everyone!

Hi Ella - I so agree on the pool. Normal for summer here though - they are always packed. And yes on the lessons - he has 6 months to go before he can be enrolled. But you are right - it is only a couple of months,a nd he will adapt. I also so hope it will not impede his swimming. His DGGM is about 10 minutes from my house, so I really hope we can come somedays and use the pool. PAWS CROSSED! oh es on Lola, she can give back what she gets, so I remind him alot to be gentle. I just have to mention Mannie and he gets it. So.... he had better be careful. ;-)
Auntie Ella - I thought you liked that one! that's why I picked it! I am so glad I remembered right. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barisra

Hi Anne - I think she does too - look like Rusty, and I could not agree more on the pool!

Hi Ann - Well yes on the little kids: the zero entry beach play area with the slides.I think they figure that is all any little kid needs. Dummies! there are about 6 families I can think of that use the big pool for the same reason I do. It is just unfortunate that the power and draw for summer lessons outweighs that. oh well..... and hey: maybe you have something there: swimming holes out in the rivers! YES! lol, a double whammy for sure.
Auntie Ann! You is so welcomes! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One iced mocha coming up.I needs to start doing that - it is summer after all! I will bring LOTS! It is mega HOT there ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barisra

Hi Carla - THX on the video - those two go at it like that all the time - FUN! ;-) I think so too on the pool....

Hi Mary - oh yes, he did get a haircut - last weekend. It made him look about a year older!  THX too on the pics - lol on #36. he makes the funniest faces sometimes. I loved the water shots with Lola and Nicholas. She was so interested in what he was doing. She seems to like the water. oh HAHA on the counter top match!    I agree on teh pool - how will i save this one?
Auntie Mary! YUPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can deliver again: hot or iced? auntie Ann wants iced. I am with yous - Caracalla and fudge: that rocks the house. heeheehee - my bean drank all of hers too! I had to make her three! SHESSHHH!   ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
OLIVER! DUDE! Your bean is too funny - she does these happy dance things when she sees me. OOOOO! You gots some of the ice cream? COOL! Hey, when I bring her another I will brings us come ice cream. psssttt don't tell her cuz she may eat it. See ya!~~ Elsa

Michelle, geting to your condo very late or early! :-D Love the video and all the pics, especially the Lola and Nicholas sharing breffifs. She is such a sweetie and live wire, and she loves Nicholas. They sure do roughhouse together. Sounds like you had a great day. Looking forward to the next adventure and hike.

Hi Ann - no worries on the timing! Good Morning too! THx on the vid - it was fun, and they do play well together. Oh yes on Lola - she is both rolled into one: a sweetie and a live wire. :-D Yes, it was FUN yesterday!
