(I LUVS THIS ONE!, A Mannie classic!) OH! No worries, a dollop of almond and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!
What a great day yesterday. It was nice to have Nicholas back in the house. He is such a joy, such a happy boy. He just adores Lola and Big, and will spend all the time he can playing with them. Lola seems to be his new best buddy,. She follows him everywhere, and puts up with his antics. It is very much like the relationship he had with Mannie. With Mannie it was more of a sharing: a best buddy forever thing, with Lola it is much more play. I took some photos of them together yesterday, so here you go: Nicholas and Lola video and Breffis: Berries and Kitties!
Yesterday was a swim day for nicholas. We spent part of the time trying to adjust to the new summer program that the pool has in effect. It did chnage alot for Nicholas, not all a good way, in his opinion. But so it goes with summers and pools: there needs to be time for everyone, and so the masses came yesterday. This is what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi Everyone! I hope you day has been a good one. It has been busy here. Nicholas and I had a nice day at the pool. It was a good day at the pool for the most part. In the past we do the play area first and then move to the bigger pool: his pool of choice where he has such space to swim and play in. It was funny in a way: to the minute little guy knew that the big pool time was there, a huge disappointment when I told him we couldn't. This was the first time I have seen him cry due to shear sorrow, not because he was hurt or angry or exercising the terrible two's. It was because summer session started today and he can no longer swim in the bigger pools, due to them now being used for lessons, summer programs, etc. He was so disappointed. Tears of sorrow. To quote my little swimmer: "What a bummer...." Poor kid. well he will adjust, next trip there will be better, less sadness. it was interesting to see to that he didn't get mad, just incredibly sad. wow. well anyways, needless to day we were out a bit earlier than normal, and ate an early lunch, hit the trails after that, It was kinda funny, all through this hike and berry hunt he keeps saying "I can't go to the big pool. what a bummer" LOL. well, I really need to contact his great granny and see if she will let us use her backyard pool - outdoors in the sun - it would be great. dunno though how she will feel about us there without her being around. guess we shall see.
LOL: what a ZOO there today at the pool. The line for the open swim was down the hall, out the door, down the sidewalk, around the corner into the parking lot. lmao. Needless to day alot of those folks didn't get in...." Picassa links: Swimming!, and Berry Hunting, once again....
Have a great day everyone. I am still on DGs duty - it should be a river or an out and about day for Nicholas and I. I'm still trying to determine where - darn weather! We are due for sunny skies and temps in the 80's, but we still need to get through a morning of a few rain sprinkles... I am hoping to find a place that is reported to be a bit drier sooner than the rest.... oh sure.....
I will try and get to condos when I can. Sorry I keep missing so many of you.... :?
