I am such a horrible DC mom! ;(

ok, I'm also human.

yesterday I was whipped and dozed off on the couch till 8pm (from about 6pm) and GG's injection time is between 7 and 730  But....I gave her the dose anyway...that was last evening...I noticed her numbers spiked for the pmps AND +2 and that was AFTER a can of FF!!!!

is it the 45-60 min late dose? or is it being in a different house? (dunno if my other posts showed up, but I have her here at the drooler's house...it just makes it easier for me to test and inject her. she's safe in the bathroom....later I'll chase the droolers out of the bedroom and snuggle her up for a while. :)

Unfortunately for some odd reason I can't seem to get on her ss to edit.....but I'll update it asap.

Peace,

Make sure you're actually logged in to your SS. Sometimes it opens, but you've been logged out.

Anything more than 15 - 20 min. off of shot time is considered early or late. If you shot 45 min. late last night, the clock started at that time and your next shot is due 12 hours later. You can make up no more than 30 min. per day and keep the shed intact and still shoot safely. (We do this all the time for changing to/from daylight savings time.) There are some exceptions to this "rule" -- like if numbers are high -- but in general, unlike other types of insulin, Lantus needs consistency. You want to shoot as close to the 12 hour mark as possible.
