So I'm guessing either tonight or tomorrow a.m. I will be upping his dose.... again. I liked it much better when he was on his way down. :-(

Meanwhile - I can't believe I went out and bought a mini fridge to keep in my bedroom or maybe my bathroom - haven't decided yet - just to have Elian's insulin close by! He and his brothers pretty much live in my bedroom, hallway, bathroom, 2 closets and patio so all of his supplies and their food is all in my bedroom. So why not his insulin?! I bought a really compact fridge yesterday but it didn't get cold enough. Returned it today and got the kind you have in a dorm room! Before anybody thinks I'm totally crazy (which I am) I also have dogs stay at my house - part of my pet sitting business. When I go into the kitchen to get the insulin in the am the dogs all go crazy and then I get distracted with walking all of them and feeding, etc. and it throws off E's shot. So ......I figure this way he will always come first - as it should be!!! :-)

A small fridge sounds like a good idea, maybe you can store the spare syrup, and stuff in there too..

Paws crossed a dose increase gets him out of those nasty high numbers..

I think that would be a GREAT idea :)

But of course the cats always come first! :-D   Great idea on the fridge. It might even help keep things cooler because you won't be opening it as often as the big fridge.

Good luck on that increase when you get to it. As the saying goes, sometimes you just have to go up to go down. I've seen so many times when it takes cats a few times back at that higher dose before Mr. L. finally decides it's OK not to be so bouncy.

I decided to raise him to 2.75 tonight so I will test him at +2 shortly and again during the night to see how he's handling it. Fingers and paws crossed. And the new fridge is set up and E's insulin and my water bottles are just a few steps away! Good thing I have to work or I could easily become a hermit in my bedroom with my three boys. Or should I say their bedroom?! That's more like it as I look around and see two tents; a hammock bed; a two story tent; a 4 story condo; a large dog bed turned cat bed; a small bed with comforter; a 4 bowl feeding area; a basket of canned food; a drawerful of treats and catnip; and a glider chair that only they use! I won't mention the 4 litter boxes in the bathroom! And I wouldnt change a thing other than bring back my Jenny and Remy who have both gone to the bridge recently. I'm sure you can all relate. :-)
