Yesterday
Good morning! Shadow reporting with 3 Ps so far. He ate well last night but his numbers dropped. This morning I gave him his doses of Cyproheptad & Ondansetron with a taste of baby food turkey. He licked that all up. I then served LC FF with 15 Temptations crushed on top and freeze-dried chicken...he ate about half of his 1/4 can serving of that along with a few Zero Carb Young Again. I then served the rest to him at +2 when he came crying for food. I put a few pieces of 7% carb young again on top and added a tad more turkey and he ate that until the Great White came over to sniff the dish. He was yowling like he does with mirtazapine but stopped after having this last snack. Into the laundry basket for a nap now.
Fingers crossed that he will still want to eat in 1.5 hours.

I suppose I will just give him the two meds above twice each day for a bit....instead of "as needed"....
I have to look into some calorie dense food too...Dyana had suggested Max Cal....along with feeding him between scheduled snacks. It is working out so far....trying to get some weight back on his bones...

Come on Shadow! EAT!!! Max Cal is 55 kcal/oz, but it is 9% carbs. Have you considered raw? NV Instincts Raw is 65 kcal/oz., 0 to1% carbs.

Hi Pat, sending Shadow appy vines and hope he puts some weight back on soon. Is this his pancreatitis bothering him? Hope he feels better and I know that will make you feel better, too. Hugs from Mags and me.

Hi Pat,
I hope that Shadow regains some weight and that his appetite will improve. Wellness Turkey and Chicken are somewhat higher in calories than most foods and still low in carbs (4 %). But it sure sounds like you have tried almost everything. Maybe try kitten food?

He ate very very well today....YAY!
I gave him his second doses of the Odansetron and Cyproheptad right before dinner.
He had come around to see what was cooking right before my cell phone alarm went off for the dinner festivities. So, he kept everything down which is so important and he ate as I laid there beside him.
Raja waited in the dining room for some reason and never came to check up on us....
She ate her dinner all by herself.
