Good Morning:coffee::coffee:
Day 33 of Good #'s (anti-jinx). Since Michael has had so many days of good #'s does this mean he is regulated?
@julie & punkin (ga) Thanks for stopping by last night. I just saw your post this a.m. and didn't get another test last night. I hope the 150 isn't the start of a bounce. This a.m. M's #'s were 84. We'll see what happens today. Btw, is it time for another reduction?

Relaxin' this a.m. in my Green pj's. (amps 84):D

He looks regulated to me!! I'm no expert on how long it is before you can call a cat regulated, but at the moment I don't think there's any question that his numbers are well controlled. :) Almost all of his numbers, and certainly all of his nadirs are in the normal range and have been for over a month - his numbers look awesome! :D

Very nicely regulated. For a normal numbers reduction I believe you want seven days. Your count would have restarted on AM 6/21 so you weren't quite there yet and last nights 150 may have reset the clock again, combined with surfing in safe and comfortable levels, i.e. Not going too low, I would say not quite there yet for a reduction. But looking fabulous all the same!

Glad to see he was back to green this morning.

I think I'd hang on to this dose a little bit longer, unless you see signs that make you think he's going under 50. He's looking good right now!

Wow, Michael is looking great! I`m not even close to being an expert on dosing, but the colours on his SS look great to me!

Every once in a while I like to review the definitions of regulation that is in the New to the Group Sticky:
Q6.1. What is regulation?
  • Not treated [blood glucose typically above 300 mg/dl (16.7 mmol/L), poor clinical signs]
  • Treated but not regulated [often above 300 (16.7) and rarely near 100 (5.6), poor clinical signs]
  • Regulated [generally below 300 (16.7) with glucose nadir near 100 (5.6), good clinical signs, no hypoglycemia]
  • Well regulated [generally below 200-250 (11.1-13.9) and often near 100 (5.6), no hypoglycemia]
  • Tightly regulated [generally below 150 (8.3) and usually in the 60-120 (3.3-6.7) range, no hypoglycemia, still receiving insulin]
  • Normalized [60-120 (3.3-6.7) except perhaps directly after meals -- usually not receiving insulin]
Michael is looking tightly regulated to me. :D
