6/26 Binks checking in

Well, goodness...we've been somewhat absent here on the forum...

Binks has been quite well...his bean has been quite under the weather...but the boy is a good nursemaid, so think he's got me on the mend.

His bg spot checks have all been under the 100 mark...but:

friday when he jumped up on my chest while i was stretched out on the couch being a whimpering baby, I made him get down...claiming that his front paw smelled
like poop, and that he needed to take a bath. It wasn't until the next morning that my groggy mind realized that on his diet...his poop doesnt smell like that.
It's true...he's ALWAYS been certain that his sh*t don't stink :lol: ...but since we found the FDMB, it's sort of the truth.

Against my better judgement, in the last week or two I've been letting him out in the yard for short supervised visits, and he seems to have picked up a goathead sticker
or something in his front right paw...limping slightly and smells like it's infected. Other than that...all 5 p's firmly in place.

I'll check his bg this evening, and call Mandy Moore-Vet on monday morning...get him in and repaired so his infection doesnt trigger a return from the Falls.

We've been missing in action because looking at a computer screen has been difficult for me while i've been feeling wimpy,so have a lot to catch up on!

we have surely been thinking of you all, though...

Happy to see you guys, but sorry to hear you've been under the weather. I'm sure there is nothing like NurseMaid Binks, though!

I hope Mandy Moore-Vet gets Binks little paw fixed up ASAP. You're allowed to visit, but he's not allowed to return from The Falls!

it's punishment for my eternally "childish behavior"...

the solution for which seems to be surgically implanting tubes in my ears.
I looked at the doctor and said "Wait a minute...isn't that what you do for three-year olds??"

and he replied..."If the shoe fits..." :lol: :lol:

well, tubes or not...i'll continue to let the Inner Child rule my world...
it's just more fun that way!!

and many thanks for the Binksy healing vines...silly as it sounds, the only physical injury he's ever had was when Kitten Binks wrenched his tiny
shoulder pulling all the toilet paper off the dispenser :lol:

so I'm a little worried bout his poor lil paw...

Welcome back Celi and Binks! And thanks for posting that hilarious picture on my condo. But like I said -- seeing those ghostly kitties appearing in those cotton balls...I think it's gonna keep me up tonight!

Sorry to hear Binks' paw. I thought it was literally a sticker with a picture of a goathead until I Googled it too. Yeesh! Poor Binks! Hope you both feel better soon!

OUCH on poor Bink's paw! I had to goggle that too - what an evil thing.... I hope he feels better soon. Good I think to take him to the vet bet it checked out and all. We don't want any infection or whatever sidelining his stay at the falls.

Celi, it is so good to hear from you and the Binkster but so sorry to hear that both of you have been under the weather. Poor you and poor Binks. My niece ended up having to have tubes put in her ears and she was in her 20's. I also thought it was only a child thing until then. I hope it helps and you are back to feeling better soon. Good luck with the vet visit and hoping Binkster's paw is better with some antibiotic. Never heard of a goathead sticker -- definitely needed to google that one.
