Hello,
Do you know of reliable places that sell Lantus more affordably?
I'm paying around $270 for a 10ml vial.

Ian

Thank you for that! Have you ever had any problems with Mark's, are their products reliable?

I've only ordered from them once. I'm on my third out of 5 pens and they have been fine. They send them on surgical ice but they were room temp by the time I got them. So far so good. Next time I will try to time it so its on the best day to get here the quickest. No problems but I won't know for sure until I use the last pen. They came with expiration of over a year. Call and talk to them. I hope their lantus isn't bad ordered for long.

The cheapest place I've found for levemir and lantus in Tucson is Costco.

Looks like Oz is back to bouncing like some other kitties I know. Hope all is well, Ian.

Hi Marje,
Oz has actually had some really good cycles, I just updated his chart. Last night I didn't do what I should have & so I had to skip his shot due to a 49 preshot number.
He has reached 49 before & on 6/22 in the P.M. he dropped to 39. I read that if they go into the 30's they should have a reduction, what do you think? Otherwise all is well, thanks, hope all is well with you also!

Actually, Oz is still within a year since diagnosis. His dose should be reduced if his numbers fall below 50 on a human meter. For cats that are over a year past diagnosis, a reduction occurs if the numbers drop below 40. You can also reduce if they drop below 50 on three separate cycles.

I agree with Sienne :)

You should have taken a reduction with that 39 because he's still considered newly diagnosed until he's been FD a year. And you should probably take him down .25u as that is the amount of reduction the protocol calls for newly dx cats that drop once below 50 or if you are using the three drops between 40-50 before you reduce.

I hope you find some Lantus and Oz does well with the reduction.
