just wanted to say hi - glad you made it over to the Lantus Forum!

saw your conversations the last couple of days about food - i have 2 cats, punkin is also a super hoover, and anya, a tinkerbell delicate little thing. i feed anya in the laundry room so she doesn't starve, and when she's done, punkin always finishes her food as well. for him (14 lbs) i give 1 can of fancy feast with shots and 1/2 can at the +3, plus he finishes anya's up. punkin does the same stare at you thing *must feed the cat* psychic messaging!

Hi Julie,
Sounds like the exact same situation as mine!
Its funny how both Momma and Tigger have changed since going on wet food. Much Much more active and Momma is actually getting more assertive with Tigger.
He kind of dominates, but of late she hasn't been putting up with his antics!
Momma is a cuddler who's affectionate and likes to come into bed for some lovin, its our time. Tigger only jumps up when he wants food to get my attention.
This morning twice he jumped up to whine for food and she smacked him off the bed! First time I have seen that happen in 4.5 years of having them.
She's also pounced him while I was playing with him a couple times. Cannot believe the night and day difference in their attitudes!

i know what you mean - i couldn't believe everything i learned about giving them canned food when i came here. now, of course, i wonder how many of the health problems we had before were from dry food. both of these two and my last cat, felix, were on prescription dry food. punkin for bladder infections that recurred every year (hello? now i think he needed more water) and felix & anya both for chronic diarrhea (probably too much ash or something undigestible in the ordinary dry food.) To think i could've eliminated all those issues by just giving them canned food. ohmygod_smile

the only good thing is that my daughter is feeding hers canned food now because of our experience.

btw, i'm trying to remember - is your name brent?

Re: 6/25 Tigger AMPS 399 +4=323

Yes, my name is Brent.

I've been telling everyone I know with cats to get off dry food, most won't but I am trying!
I'm thinking any issues with digestion could very well be diet based, I mean that is what digestion is! Urinary, diarrhea, both of those.
So I agree with you 100% there.
