6/25 Shadow pmps 98 Friskies special diet anyone?

greetings....
just got to sit down for a couple of minutes.... got some chores to do....

shot half an hour early this am.... didn't mean to but oops.... there it was.... it's okay.
just not such a good idea when you have to run off to the dr in another town.
Came home and she was at 50.... and of course, gave her food... or rather showed her the food that was sitting right there all along.
funny how a 50 doesn't phase me.... ( since now I have to see below 40)
She's napping on the bottom level of her tower and ate her friskies chicken shreds with gravy before snoozing.

speaking of friskies, I saw the post that the special diet varieties were going away so I ran to a few likely places and grabbed all they had in case any one really wants to keep some around ... at least while they research and find other suitable.
I have special diet beef and chicken....special diet salmon pate .... and special diet turkey and giblets
if anyone is interested, I'll look at my receipt... tell you what I paid.... and if you pay postage.... you can have what I found. I know how it is when things disappear.... especially with our kitties....
I'm about to be out of terumo syringes.....

saw the dr this morning.... she thinks the tingling is a nerve... likely in my neck.... when she pressed around
it was sore on my right side behind the ear area....
said get a massage and see if it helps and it should go away ....
she wasn't worried .... try to think about good posture and do it...

That was so nice of you to pick up the Friskies in case anyone needs it. I'm glad your doctor isn't concerned about your tingling. It might help to do gentle stretches while in the shower.

Whew- I was really worried about your heart!! I'm glad you saw the doctor and got it checked out! I had tingling and pain from my shoulder down to my fingers- turned out to be hypothyroid, which I had never been tested for. Apparently isn't part of my regular check ups. I hope the massage will help- I found deep tissue massage to cause me more pain than relief...What about Tai Chi or yoga?

You're so calm, coming home to a bg of 50(or waking up at 3:00 AM and finding that makes me because I wonder where she was before the 50!

I had seen where Friskies has been discontinued- that is very nice of you to offer it to those in need!

yeah.... funny on the calm....but Shadow had 100 days on insulin back 2012.... and she was such a surfer....( her older ss is there with the current one)
she earned her decreases mostly by the 14 cycles of good numbers....
and when we started again ( because of medications) she has shown the same surfing method....
her highest numbers were in response to that paste stuff that was supposed to instantly stop the runs.... after all it was a sugar paste....

i sometimes think if we could just be cured of ibd .... ( like if she would just convert and eat raw food - hint hint!!! )
that she would go right back to her remission state....
but since her lymph nodes were enlarged.... and her pylorus thick.... and she has the lipoma fixing down on her side... it's not just ibd.
They won't give her chemotherapy unless she has 2 endoscopies....

That was so kind of you to pick up food that others might not find in their stores. We don`t have Friskies Special Diet in Canada, but I`ve never fed it to my trio.
I`m relieved to hear that your shoulder pain can be alleviated by massage.

I hope the tingling goes away. Pinched nerves are very uncomfortable. Do you do yoga? That could help. Gentle stretching can do wonders. I can recommend this book: Mary Pullig Schatz, "Back Care Basics: A Doctor's Gentle Yoga Program for Back and Neck Pain Relief" (Berkeley, CA: Rodmell Press, 1992).
