Yesterday http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=73794 was a cycle that got down to mid blues during the day, but the evening was a little slower. The "before leaving for rowing" test detected mid yellows so I suspect the lowest she got was low yellows. Today, cycle 17 at this dose, and the evil red grr_red monster has shown up in full force. Not sure what brought that on! Sometimes her bounces are delayed.

Neko of course is not showing any signs of being in red. She's done a couple of yard patrols, and even wanted out when we got home from rowing. What's surprising about that is that it is just before breakfast which is an event she doesn't ever want to miss. I suspect she needed to use the outdoor LB as she prefers it to the inside ones, especially for peeing. She is CPC so far, with an assist to make sure Theo is too, still one more iteration of the auto-feeder to go.

OT: a beautiful blue sky out, although it's forecast to cloud over and possibly be wet later. Looks like Neko may be giving me a pass to go out this morning. The water for rowing was flat, with the exception of the 2 water skiers who just couldn't resist getting close, and they had all the rest of our part of the ocean too play on! I hate to complain about sunshine but at one point I wished I had my sunglasses on when we were coming out of Port Moody Inlet. Lots of squinting instead. Our boat was in the groove today. The group was in 3 boats of 4 each (quads) and our boat led the way both directions, especially gratifying as we are the recreational rowers instead of the serious masters rowers.

Neko, Munch wants you to come join her again. She had fun gettin' into mischief with you on Saturday!

Sounds like you had a lovely morning. I can just imagine how gorgeous it must be out on the water. The lake out of door hypnotizes me many days--the ocean, I'd never get anything accomplished!

Hi Wendy & Neko,
Neko, your mamabean wants to see fewer bounces, more consistency, and some blue. Think you can manage that?

Wendy, we made the garlic-scape pesto tonight. Made a mess in the kitchen, but it was really good and we have enough left for another meal. Thanks again for sending the link to the recipe.

Rowing in the ocean sounds awesome. I have never had the opportunity to row, but find it fascinating to watch.

Enjoy the evening.

Ella & Rusty,

p.s. I hate jet skis and "tubers"; waterskiing at least requires some skill.

I've also observed that often Gracie's bounces are delayed and I have to wonder about the physiology at play. If the liver is supposed to "protect" them, then it's bound to release the glucagon fairly quickly.

I believe I have a paper on how that might work but I'll have to dig around.

Glad to see she's coming down.

Re: 6/25 Neko PMPS 464

PMPS 464 - aack! after a day of just yellow. Now I'm really wondering where she got to on Saturday when I was away. I hope this isn't the dose losing it's effectiveness. I guess I just have to wait this out a little while yet.

@Reagan - yup, it looks like she got into trouble on Saturday. The ocean is beautiful, and the creatures in it. Saw a couple seals today. Good thing I live a 10 minute drive away or I'd be distracted all the time.

@Ella - at least the bounces are to red, and not that other colour they used to be. But she could surprise me yet. Hoping for blues again soon. Glad you enjoyed the pesto. I haven't seen many scape recipes and this one's a keeper. I just tossed it all in the blender so it wasn't too messy.

@Grace - Delayed bounces make me hopeful that she isn't bouncing, and then she does. She seems to react to sudden drops right away, but low number drops take a while. Still waiting for the down part. PMPS almost the same as AMPS. At least she wasn't flat during the day.
