Yesterday, who needs sleep?

6/23 Recap:
AMPS 116 +5 271 +9 177
PMPS 134 +5 89:D +8 64:D+10 114

Last night I used a new, lower phosphorus HC - Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup. It's also higher HC (21%) than her old HC (18%). Looks like it works a little too well. Time to back off on quantity and maybe I'll keep hunting for another slightly lower carb% HC. It's a good tool for the overnight lows when I just want her up though! And on the plus side, she seems to be liking this dose.

We have a happy little soft furred girl this morning. Her coat always feels just a bit softer when she's in normal numbers. We had a brief whacking session while the fur kids were lining up for the AMPS test. After breffs, instead of going to her scratch pad where we normally do the shot, Neko decided she wanted to check out the nanner under the chair tucked under the table in the solarium. So here is momma doing contortions to get at the cat, while holding a syringe, when she gets up and walks over to the scratch pad.

A bit of running around this morning, DH leaves this afternoon for a regatta at Vancouver, Washington. Wish I could go, but I don't feel up to leaving Neko for that many days in someones care and I don't want her to have a rabies shot to cross the border. There's another regatta in town in three weeks.

Happy Fursday everyone! We celebrate 150 weeks post SRT today. Maybe I'll let Neko share a small bit of my BBQ salmon tonight.

Nice report for Neko. I don't blame you for not wanting to leave her for that long. Yay on the 150 weeks post SRT today. I hope your DH enjoys the regatta.

By the way, you're repeating yesterday. It's the 25th.

Interesting that the numbers you posted for yesterday (6/24, as Carl pointed out), are a digit off the ones on your SS. Do you enter on the World page and it does the conversion for you?

Heh heh on Neko's making you jump through hoops to get to her. So like a cat to do that, then walk calmly to the designated spot and look at you like, what on earth are you doing? :p:joyful:

Typical Neko, low at night, bounce during the day. DH just took off with some fellow rowers for the regatta. Might need to break out some sympathy chocolate today. :(

Oops on the date. Nice to know someone is looking. Thanks @carfurby . Big hugs to you today. :bighug:

@Tricia & Cinco - Yes, I enter on the World SS and sometimes there are gaps so the numbers don't line up exactly with what shows up on the US tab.

Neko had an extra special treat this afternoon - a big brown moth in the solarium. I haven't seen her move that fast for ages. Crunch, crunch....

@Lori & Lulu - I'm hoping this is a bounce tonight. ;)

Congrats on the 150 weeks post SRT, Neko sounds in fine hunting form. I would definitely break out the chocolate, after all, Neko has had her treat.

Turns out I had one piece of birthday cake leftover from DM's birthday. Neko also got a bit of salmon. One of the other things I'm missing this weekend is rowing myself. A lot of the shells have gone to the regatta, as well as coaches.:( On the plus side, I managed to find some Natures Variety raw chicken. There had been some issues with it coming across the border due to an avian flu outbreak in some states. Both kitties like it, and it's low phosphorus! I also got my TC Feline premix in the mail today so time to look for meats to try it with.

I use chicken tighes, skinned and boned, with the TC premix and do a couple of kilos in one go. Haven't tried any other meats, I suppose it would work well with rabbit also, interested to see what exotic meats you can find

Rabbit is a bit high in phosphorus. Mariko has used TC Feline with venison and elk and I was looking at some goat today. We have an exotic meat butcher quite close to us.

You certainly seem to have a much better selection of meats available there than we do. Our most popular meat seems to be duck, but it's very costly and also high fat so I would have thought it too rich for cats, although I gave Crystal a little cube of raw duck breast recently as a treat which she ate with gusto. Shall watch with interest.
