We finally understood why she was so high. I left a Lantus pen that was new but there was also a vial, and the vial was very old: January 2022. So when our sitter was using the vial, Bella went high. The other sitter who cared for Bella for a few days used it again and that time Bella went above 200, which did not happen for over a year! I think she might have skipped a dose too, our regular sitter found a syringe with 2.5 units when she came back on the 20th.
Anyway, I am back home tonight, Bella is happy, she is acting like nobody fed her for the last month, as usual, and she had so much hair I am not sure I will be able to brush it all off. She had diarrhea all over the basement stairs, carpeted of course, and it was completely dry by the time I came back (she had diarrhea when our regular sitter came back last Monday, I guess it all happened on the same day but she did not see it there). She's been doing well otherwise, I am not sure if that was due to stress over a new sitter, the alarm that went off (sitter set it on away and Bella moved...), or a plant that she chewed on, but it was just that one day.
I am keeping her at 2.5 units for tonight. Tomorrow morning I'll get back to 2.75 and raw food. It's 7:30 pm and I am going to bed, I've been up for over 24 hours and don't think I could stay up any longer!
