Jack is doing ok, just wish he would not go yellow/pink around the +7/8 hr mark. The kibble is killing his numbers. Once Pumpkin is stabilized, we are moving to the Ziwi Peak/Elsey's combo. Pumpkin blew the budget with his hospital stay and unexpected need for special food, so ordering more Ziwi is on hold for another week or so.

Pumpkin is maaayyybbe a tiny bit better; still not peeing correctly, but also not really eating or drinking. He did eat a half jar of Gerber chicken baby food this morning and he ate about 1/4 can of tuna and tuna water yesterday. I was able to get the prescriptions from my regular vet for the 3 major urinary prescription diets (Hills c/d, Royal Canin SO, Purina Vet Diet UR St/Ox) He hates the Hills and Royal Canin pate I took home from the hospital, so I got the chunks in gravy at Petsmart today. He actually ate about a half can of the Purina Salmon chunks with his antibiotics this afternoon, so paws crossed with the increased food & moisture intake, he will pee larger amounts properly.

Still waiting for my friend to come by to play handyman for me. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I am sending good vibes for Pumpkin, Christine. Paws crossed he keeps eating for you.

Have you been able to medicate naughty Abby?

Jack, stop being a munch head! Sly is the same way, and he screams horrible meowly words at me when he wants kibble

Abby is still hiding and only had 2 large doses of her meds. If she doesn't come out by Tuesday I'm going to be moving furniture.

Good progress with Pumpkin!
I assume that the recovery takes a bit of time but moving along, sounds like :)
Christine, hope you get to take it easy a bit this weekend :bighug:
I know every cat is different, he is still showing blood in the urine, eating a slight bit more, but I thought he might be doing better by now. Thanks for asking after him :bighug:

Hi Christine poor Abby , breaks my heart :bighug::bighug:
She was part of a rescue I did a long time ago when I was still living in Brooklyn:her, her mom and 2 siblings were all living in an old abandoned car. My ex-husband literally pulled them out of the engine. Momma Kitty had so many health issues, she didn't make it, but Pyewacket, Sam, and Abby all fought through multiple URIs and lived many happy years. Pye and Sam had heart issues I didn't know about and I lost them both within a year and a half of each other- that must be about 8 years ago now. Abby Tabby was always very shy, and after the initial 6 months of meds, never really became a full on pet- she is loving on her terms only, my ex worked with her to get her to appreciate being pet on her terms and another rescue I had, Charlie Anderson, was her special friend, and taught her it's nice to get brushed. Charlie has since passed, and she has no real 'friends' she is close to or to reassure her. She runs anytime she even thinks you are going to try to medicate her.
