Good afternoon LL peeps!! Lots of healing vines go out to Rocket, JD, and any other sick kitties and beans.
Gracie is doing really well. I gave new juice today....cracked open one of those free vials my vet gave me that another patient had brought her to donate when her sweet doggy crossed the bridge. Two unopened vials which expire in 7/2012; since my last pen expires in 2013, I thought I'd try the vials first...altho I love the pens! Anyway, Gracie is giving me one of her slow slides; so I don't know if it was the lantus or she just finally decided she was tired of yellow but I'll take it. I bought one of those "Go Cat" mouse toys that Tena has and man was it a big hit with Gracie and Tobey!!! Grace cracked me up as she grabbed it in her mouth and decided to take it to her "special" place. She is shorthaired but has the fluffiest bloomers and she is bow legged and it was the cutest thing to see her little sassy bow-legged self walking off with the mouse in her mouth.
Teddi is doing ok....maybe a little better. She just wouldn't sleep last night so I gave her a little extra bupe after Gracie's +4. This morning when the alarm went off, she wasn't in bed with us like she usually is but she came bounding up the ramp to the bed and plopped herself on me...I was rewarded with BIG Teddi Bear purrs. She has not wanted to eat much today but I have gotten three 12-ml syringes of a/d down her with protest. I know she doesn't feel well because she usually loves it if I syringe feed her a/d. She did eat a bit of very watered down baby food on her own. Three good things: she actually came into the kitchen and meowed her "hungry" meow, she is drinking water on her own, and now she is curled up asleep at the bottom of the ramp which is a regular spot for her. Until now, she's been under the bed which is not like her. I have to take her in tomorrow morning for a quick recheck. She was so happy with the KTSS sans the Tobey massage. :lol: :lol:
So between Gracie and Teddi PLUS our computer had to have some major work today...viruses, I've been swamped. I ordered more eye drops for Gracie/Tobey off the internet from VetAmerica.com. Please do not use them. I ordered it TWO weeks ago and their website states 98% of all orders are shipped the very next day. They charged my card when I placed the order but just sent them and could not give me a UPS tracking number. So in between +3 and +4, I had to run down to the vet and pay twice the price so I would have some. grrrrr...and they refused to refund the shipping charges.
The other night I was trying to get Gracie from behind her condo outside and I hit my left ribs against the arm of the chair and boy did it hurt. It has progressively gotten much worse...more pain. I can't lift the cats, can't breathe in deep without pain so I figure I either messed up some cartilage or have a hairline crack. I need to go to Urgent Care but...when???? Probably won't happen.
However, it's quiet now and I need a quick nap .....I didn't rest much the night before Teddi's dental or last night for worrying about her. Looks like it has the potential to be a long night tonight. I have to get squids done for Teddi and Gus, too. I should have time to do some condo checking tonight. Hopefully before the east coasters go to bed so I can see how your days went. At least I didn't have to work today
