Gordy asked for brekkie this morning but then refused the FF chicken just like yesterday... instsad of following him around with it, i just decided to try a different food. He ate the 8% Wellness justtttt fine. So I guess I'll go get a different flavor FF for tonight and see if that makes a difference. He ate enough that I feel comfortable and I can always give him a low more of the Wellness if needed.

Im thinking if not him being picky, its a hairball. He always stops eating for a bit right before he coughs one up.

I'll increase tonight if his appetite is back.

Didn't eat any of his first snack, but 2nd one spins in 20 minutes. If he turns his nose at it again, I'll offer him more Wellness to test my theory.
 
Ok... i picked up some different options to try out. Tonight it'll just be friskies chicken pate. (If they like that, then awesome lol), but i also got some chopped feast (which has been enjoyed in the past) 2 weruca flavors (paw lickin' chx and meow luau) and a merrick limited ingredient chx.

No, nothing yet. I really think he was protesting the FF Chicken. I wonder if there is something off with this particular batch. The pet store said i can bring them back for store credit. I am going to give him Friskies tonight and sed if he eats.

What the blue and the sudden picky appetite, I'll hold off the increase until the morning.

I have several foods around, so when Mouzer opts out of his normal FF chicken pate, I have another FF that is low carb - I forget exactly which one but something different than his normal. I also have low carb kitten food for one of my kitties - which two of them get it because one other wants it and he is old - but from time to time I let Mouzer have half of a can of that, when he is bored with the other.
I have some Candidae to give if Mouzer is being finicky. I also have Sheba chicken pate for other kitties and Mouzer likes it and if bored with his FF chicken pate he will eat the Sheba chicken pate - as if they are different lolol I guess they can see the can you open is different hahahha And I do have some Friskies but they all have gravy, so prolly not low carb. I have some Max Cat but not sure on the carbs, so havent gave it to Mouzer.

Anyhow, I get my two older cats, who get the kitten food, to get all picky on me and I end up telling them, after opening a third can of something, you either eat one of those or you just dont eat, I aint playin this game any more lololol I get so aggravated with them. They are both 14. But with Mouzer and the diabetes, I am very patient and I will open to see what he wants and what he doesnt want, I see if those two old ones will eat it and if they wont eat it, I have other kitties who have to have canned and somebody will eat it lol

I usually shoot when he is eating, but tonight I am going to wait. I want to make sure he def has main meal on board before shot tonight.

He is chowing down the friskies Turkey and Giblets pate right now.

If it were me, I would shoot now. Don't let the numbers get ahead of you. My reasoning: he hasn't seen blues in a while so he is likely to bounce. Get a head of the bounce.

He threw up a tint bit with the ONE blade of grass I allowed him to eat today. It was a mistake.

He put his nose up at the Friskies after a few bites :( he has never been this picky before! Its pissing me off. Grrrr LOL.

Ill check him at the +3 and see about something diff for the missing snack... since Rex has eaten most of it while I types this.

I am done poking him for the night. He is holding steady in a safe number.

He doesnt want to eat, but he'll sit and drink all the water I put in the food dish. That makes me think: teeth. But he was chewing the pieces of food fine earlier, as well as, the few pieces of Evo I tempted him with last night. So that also says he's fine??

I tried giving him one of the pills rex was prescribe when she had her tummy issues, but he didnt feel like eating the pill pocket :rolleyes:

I feel like I am worried about nothing... its probably still the hairball. :confused:
