6/24, Frodo, amps 153, eating better, still reduced dosage

It's taken until today for me to be sure that Frodo is eating OK. He was still on Cypro for appetite through 6/23, and I wanted to be sure it has worn off and he's still eating OK. He started "yipping" and yelling for his food 6/23, so I guess he's OK. Still a few days of antibiotic to run.
I picked a fairly low insulin dosage for safety (2.5U), and he's still gotten some greens. A U-shaped curve, apparently. Opinions on whether I should stick with that dosage a little longer or try to up it at least a little? Looking back to 6/14 and 6/15, 3.5U may have been a little high, since his last "dose reduction" low reading was after a couple days of 3.75U/3.0U dosing (because of low pmps - don't know what that averaged out to).

I think the cypro wears off on the day you give it... I can give it twice a day.....
If the appy is iffy, I'd be inclined to hold another cycle or two....

He was back to eating very little again this morning; I started him again on cerenia for nausea and cypro for appetite, and he's back to "yipping and yelling" for food. I hope this is due to side-effects of the Baytril. 3 1/2 days to go on the 10-day course. And we'll keep him at the current insulin dose.

He just got a 49 at am+7 and 40 minutes. Good thing we didn't go higher on the dosage, and we'll lower it tonight.

Congrats on the reduction. Normally we'd go down by .25U to 2.25 units. Any chance of getting a night test before bed? Sometimes the depot will make the next cycle a little exciting too.

Good to hear he's eating better now.
