Yesterday's condo

We had some pretty nasty storms move through and I lost power around 11pm last night. Luckily, they were able to restore it this afternoon - right before the temperature in the house became unbearable. So I guess it felt like a beach day and Walter thought it would be the perfect occasion to get his blue beach shorts out. Very nice run of numbers today... and (anti-jinxes) maybe he will even dip his little tippy toes into the lagoon tonight.

Capone is doing great! Amazing how cats can bounce back so quickly after major dental surgery. And due to the power outage, I was forced to take a break from reading more about CRF... but I will be back on it tomorrow.

Flora is still looking pretty rough and has lost even more weight. She is down to 14 ounces. She's been getting fluids every day and earlier today, she finally tarted showing some real interest in food. For the last few days, KMR was the only thing she would even touch, but today she ate a fair amount of canned food. She didn't want the FF kitten, but instead share Capone's Tiki Cat. At this point, I am just glad she's eating!

Christina so glad you got your power back! Sound like Walter had a great day today and happy to hear that Capone has bounced back nicely from his dental. Sending vines to little Flora and glad she is eating at least and hope she turns the corner.

I was wondering where you were today but with the big crew you have it's understandable. Thank goodness all is well and the power is back on. Nice work today Walter...keep surfing and head to the lagoon soon. How nice of Capone to share his food with baby Flora. Hope Walter is finding the kits a little more interesting

He definitely likes them a lot better when they're nice and tired. I have even caught him sleeping on the bed at the same time as the kits - not exactly right next to them, but still. Baby steps...

Haha, that might be his dream job right there: mentoring other cats to eat. He has been a proud member of the CPC every day of his life.

So glad Capone has recovered...kitties really are amazing! Prayers for little Flora....it sounds like she's improving, even if slightly. Yay for power!!
