Looks like Susie isn't bouncing quite as much as she used to. It that a sign that her little body might be getting used to the lower numbers?

Got a wonderful night's sleep. Did check her at +6.7. I feel a lot better. She is doing well - purring, rolling over for tummy rubs, coming out more, eating well (always) and getting into my Mom's silk flowers and throwing up right after. Silly cat. I wonder why they chew on these things?:arghh:

I'm glad Susie is doing well. It looks like she is getting more used to lower numbers, yes. She has been keeping you busy lately, but looking good! Hopefully she continues to bounce less and flattens out.

Thanks so much, Lyla. It has been a tiring week and I think today is going to be active too. I just hope the reduction doesn't fail. I've been wondering how long the 2.75 depot would be with her now that she is down to 2.50 units. Do you have any idea?

I'm glad Susie is doing so well. I hope she slides down and surfs safely today.
Thanks, Carla. I think she will have a higher day today as she rose at +2 which she normally does not. I'm going to be upset if the reduction fails. She drops too quickly and too much on 2.75 but maybe won't drop enough at 2.5. What to do? Maybe a fat 2.5. We will see.

The depot usually evens out with the reduced dose within four - six cycles, I believe. As for a failed reduction, I'd see what she does today and tonight at least.

I'm looking at the big picture - you are making REAL progress!! Slide on down a little more Ms. Susie - we already know you don't play by the general rules; I'm half expecting a nice gentle drop. Other half has no clue, lol:)
Isn't sleep awesome?!?! So glad you had some;)

She is a difficult cat to figure out. I know on TR they say if you have a failed reduction you should go back up to the next safest dose. Well, what would that be. If I took her back up .25 she would be back at 2.75 where she was quickly dropping like a rock. I'm thinking if things stay the way they are today and tonight I might try a 2.5 fat if I am allowed to do that. I thought I read someone that the fats and skinnys are for people on really low doses but I'm in a tough position with where to take her up to next.

By the way, sleep is awesome and I even got a nice nap in this morning. So missed. :arghh:

:bighug:Well I think Susie is looking really good today! Enjoy it! She’s in safe numbers and you don’t have to hustle to keep her from dropping too low. They always say 4-6 cycles for the previous deport to influence the current cycle. Remember you vowed to let things settle in for Susie this time
Wonderful to hear from you today, Suzanne. Our friend, Pamela, was asking about you this morning. Darcy was looking good yesterday. I hope he is eating better. Susie is a mystery. If she stays too high in the blues I don't know where to go next. Anyway, I'll continue to watch her and it is nice to have a day and night (last night) not having to hustle and to get a good night's sleep.:bighug:

I think Pamela should have her internet back on by Friday! And I know she has been missing the FDMB! I’ve been checking in on her daily and she’s been checking up on Darcy as well. I will be so glad to see her back on the board!

And this is a good example to me anyway, of knowing your cat, Summer.

You are allowed to do exactly what you believe is best for Susie. The guidelines don't match every single cat. If a fat 2.5 works, then it works! Since it was so recent that she went low on 2.75 . . . I don't think I'd go back to it either. Or you could just hold this dose a bit longer, even if it doesn't perfectly match the protocol (?). All just my opinion . . . thinking along with you.

Me too. You have been a good friend to her while she has been gone and I know how much she appreciates that.

Yes, I guess I am just anxious about the loss of momentum but I do not miss the scary drops. Just wanted a good "in between". You are right about giving this dose a little time. Thanks for your support and reminding me that I hold the syringe. It sure would be difficult trying to measure a 2.5 fat. The lines are so close together on the syringes. Guess my calipers would help with that.

Hi Summer! I'm new with your kitty. I like how your spreadsheet is looking recently! If it was me, I would wait longer than 4-6 doses to decide as you said yourself, 2.75u is too much. Sometimes it can take up to 10 doses to see how well that dose works for the kitty. Right now, her pancreas is trying to sputter into action and learning how to compensate for the lower dosage at 2.5u.

Your girl do like to be keeping you on your toes and keep you guessing, doesn't she? :p

Glad you got some sleep, though, jfc.

Hi, Mandy. Thank you for stopping by. Unfortunately, I just got a 238 at +8. I'm really at a loss of what to do. 2.75 was too high and 2.50 is not high enough. I'm going to leave her at 2.5 tonight. I need some good advice. I might try a 2.5 fat tomorrow morning. This is just crazy. I've got to get in between these numbers.

I see she had a 189 at +10. Let's see what PMPS brings. I agree - hold 2.5u tonight and then grab a couple tests after PMPS.

I'm surprised that she got a 185 at PMPS. I thought she was just going to continue to go up. I don't know where that 238 at +8 came from and I tested twice. The second test was a lot higher. I can't figure my girl out but will test again tonight at +2 and take it from there. Thanks, Mandy. Nice to have another "wingman" helping me out.

Hi Summer glad to see her PMPS came down
Let's see what she does the rest of the night and tomorrow.
Glad you had a good sleep
No funny business Susie ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you, Diane. She actually came down to 164 tonight at +2. I really don't know where that high +8 came from during her daytime cycle but I tested it twice. I'm going to bed but will set the alarm for +5 just to check on her. I'll tell Susie that you said "No funny business" tonight. I actually like sleeping.
