Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
This is the last post I will be able to do for a week since I will be away without any computer and good phone reception. Last night, DH gave Simon the wrong dose (it was too little) so I'm thinking Simon's numbers will be better today now that everything is back to normal. I know DH will do a great job of taking care of our babies while I am out of town at my family reunion. The only thing I'm worried about is that he isn't too good at giving Cleo her ondansetron pills. Without them, her tummy gets so bad and she will vomit alot. I am praying that she lets him pill her. She hates pill pockets so that is not an option. The other issue is that I am left handed and I think she is nervous when DH tries to give her the pill using his right hand :-D

I think Simon will be ok except I know he will miss his mamabean. He is such a mama's boy.

Hope everyone has a great week and I'll post when I get back in town.

J.D. didn't like pill pockets, but I still wrap his ondansteron and pepcid (and sometimes cypro) up in a bit of pill pocket and then push the ball of pill pocket down the side of his throat. It's just easier to push a big piece of pill pocket down than a little bitty pill. I have had no problems with him spitting back up his pills, since I've been doing this, and every once in a while he will just take his pill pocket, full of pills, from my hand, as if all of a sudden he likes them.

I hope you have a good trip.

Georgia, have a wonderful time at your family reunion. So nice you will have DH taking care of Simon and Cleo. Paws crossed Cleo will let DH pill her. Simon will get back on track. Just enjoy the time away and with family. I know you will worry, but all will be okay,

Yay to your DH for taking care of Simon and Cleo while your away! I hope you have a wonderful time at your family reunion:)
