Well, it is so hard to decide what to do. As we just saw a week or so ago Sammy tends to go much higher when he has too much insulin instead of going too low, so it is really hard to determine if he is getting too much or not enough. The only way to know for sure is to try without insulin and see how he does. So we are going without insulin today. I would suspect that at least the first cycle or two we might not notice which it is but I would say by Thursday we should know one way or the other. He will either come back down on his own and regulate in better numbers or he will continue to rise. I just don't want to get in a situation where I am just continuing to increase only to find that it is too much.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Well, Sammy is much higher this evening, but I am not giving up hope just just yet. He didn't eat his snacks today. I forgot to give him the Famotidine last night and I think that has affected his appetite today. Hopefully he will eat better tonight and come down a bit with the help of the fluids. If I don't see some downward movement by tomorrow PM then I will put him back on the insulin at .25 unit.
