Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night, despite the close, humid, very rainy weather, but only ate about half of his food. He didn't care for that particular can of Merrick's chicken paté (a large can, usually I use the small cans). But this morning he dove into his Wellness Chicken and FF T&G.

It stopped raining (for the time being), the sun is out, and I'm about to head out to paddle the North Branch of the Saranac River (Edward and Rusty are staying home for some R&R). The boys will have a nice day and so will I.

Wishing all a good day: the first full day of SUMMER!!

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I can remember the same issues with the Wellness big cans. none of mine would ever eat it. One would not think that there was a difference, but apparently there is. cats! ;)

Enjoy your paddle today. I am glad that it will be rainless, and sunny! Have FUN! WooHOO, and bring on summer! :):):)

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well. Rusty, you surf well today.

That's so interesting my kitties won't eat from large cans of anything. They sniff and walk away. Things that make me go hmm. :)

What a lovely plan for you day enjoy!

Yep, given how Trix can get fussy from batch-to-batch, I am not at all surprised that Rusty's palate can tell the difference between can sizes! I hope you enjoyed your paddle and that the rain stayed away!

I'm glad Rusty had a good night and he ate for you this morning. I wish batches of cat food were more consistent. Enjoy your paddle.

I have had the same problem with small vs big cans - especially the Merrick. WTH??? Of course, it's more expensive to buy the little ones, but if that's what they'll eat....

Have a nice paddle. I hope when you get home Rusty is hard at work supervising the lagoon.

Tarragon is a FF guy and only a FF guy. I admire those of you who have to switch it around. Sounds like a great day there for everyone. Have a wonderful day Ella!

Hope the paddle went well and the boys didn't get into too much trouble unsupervised!

Somehow, it seems ironic that cats who eat bugs, rodents, etc. in the wild can be so picky about "cat" food! Would they were all more like my dog...he'd eat moist cardboard if it were within reach!

I hope you have a wonderful day out on the river, Ella.
I wonder what it is about the large cans of cat food, I`ve heard that so many kitties turn their noses up at it.

Hi again,
it was a really neat paddle: the river was very high, so we had no problems getting over the beaver dams. It's a twisty-turny river, so it was fun to paddle. Mostly we were in high grassy banks, so there weren't many "views", but lots of water lillies. The "lunch site" was partially submerged.
Rusty and Edward had a good day. Rusty spied the little cat in our yard and spent the day lying in wait (indoors, mostly, moving from his perch to the mud room to the top of the piano).

Thanks for the visits. It is really interesting about the size of the cat food cans. Now Rusty is eating his nighttime foods and having no problem with the small can of Merricks.

I got caught up in the women's world cup soccer tonight and didn't get to the board. See you tomorrow.

Hey LagoonMiester Rusty!! Happy to have you back!! Here's the report while you were gone...A couple of kitties got a little rowdy and broke some of the lounge chairs...thought they'e work like a surfboard if they had enough other kitties pulling them. The cookouts have been a hit and have been great times for everyone, but we do still need to rustle up some clean up crew to come help the next day!

Shark tower could use a new coat of paint....and the seat is getting pretty raggy too.

All in all, its been good times out at the lagoon with no major incidents (except maybe for me when I was out in the 33 feet deep water earlier today)
