the office just called back.. they say we dont need to come in; vet looked at the report… and that theres nothing medically they can do for us to come in.. and so what they have to offer is to start that Varenzin Ca1…… which ive heard isnt great for diabetic cats, and kidney board said it wasnt great either.. and its oral. hes on enough oral meds.
they dont have the injections..
sigh. once things get “complicated”.. they dont want your case anymore. they shove you off!!!
ANYWAY…. we could go get the Darbopoetin today.. cant find Epogen, unless maybe i order it.. idk. have someone write me a script???
i guess we’ll go back to the vet we saw over the weekend.. (?)
what do we do? is there anything to help him feel better now? :/ ..transfusion?.. yikes..
I’m so sorry. The only thing that can help get the creatinine down is hospitalization on IV fluids but that doesn’t deal with the more immediate issue of the anemia. I can’t believe there is no one there who will give him Epogen.tysm..

All you want to do is help Pudge. I hope you can find somewhere that will help you do that

i was thinking of just getting a script and buying it and having them (the new vet i guess?) help me give it to him/dose him.. (?) if they’ll write it for me..

yeah!! when the values went horribly up last time all they did was email.. EMAIL.. the not so great news.. and then today wouldnt even have us come in. Even had some tech call me. A tech!
they dont have Epogen or Darbo, theyre general they said….. and they wouldnt write me a script. we’ve been treated like garbage by vets………
so his dose had to get adjusted frm the one i had.. and we were told the bebe doesnt look like his bloodwork

.. u mentioned this too..) he’ll get a dose once a week.. see how he does. helps the meds work. he’s having a hard time eating tho today.. but i keep trying to get food in. his syringe was uneven trash (happens.. the way theyre made, the plungers can be crooked.. and that affects the dose if you ask me! esp at smaller units.. idk..) so his numbers a bit higher today; might be why.. idk. or just everything. eh.

We do the iron shots. If his iron levels are low he won’t be able to respond to the Darbo as well. This happened with Grace too. Her iron stores were depleted. Yes. You do have to check the Packed Cell Volume to see the response to the Darbo shot. If the PCV goes too high then you wait until it drops down a bit before giving another Darbo injection.im trying to read the kidney board suggestions.. cuz he needs it asap.
.. i was hoping so buf this office didnt have iron shot; suggested supplement.. he also has lost a bit of muscle.. does that matter?.. .. but i preder the shot too. BUT thats only if hes low?.. Tanya site said to give that anyway.. idk??

still hard on myself tho.. like shoulda gone elsewhere.. but they creeped me out about too much blood w the anemia on a full panel and THEY were the only ones ive found doing partial panels (like hes had a few renal panels done.. just renal.. also gave some other values..) right exactly.. ugh.
they didnt expect such a flow tho and scrambled when it poured out.. my cat needs his blood Suzanne…. geez.
