Hey, Lucy!
On Monday, I headed upstate for the day and after meeting with a shepherd, visited a peony garden. They even place Japanese parasols over them to protect them from hot weather and heavy rain (there was quite a downpour Monday night, flattened my peonies at home and made me wish I’d come home with a parasol or two for them, haha).
Here’s a photo, such as it is, of peonies and parasols in their beautiful very zen garden. A wonderful place to contemplate the universe and send healing vines your way ..
And I’ve never seen hosta and ferns as big and bountiful as theirs.
Sending heaps more vines and hugs for your daily recovery and for your wonderful sons and of course mega scritches for da kitties

I spent time staying in one of the UPMC hospital's family houses in Pittsburgh while one of my parents was hospitalized. Several families of transplant patients stay there since it is a great hospital for transplant procedures. I sat in on a transplant support group meeting. What a positive experience! So many great success stories and tales of hope. Love ya, Lucy! Hang tough.

I have known friends through both liver and kidney transplants. Lucy, I don’t believe we are acquainted, but I will be thinking of you as my kittygirl goes through her own recovery right now. I hope you receive all the treatment that you need to be as well as possible. Love and light to you.

YES!!! I just heard from Andrew this morning with great news!!!!!
They have had a busy week but said they moved Lucy to rehab this week and she is gaining strength each day. She sat up in a chair today! They are all excited and we are all excited for you, dear LUCY!!!!!!!!
May each day bring you more strength. We are all praying for you that you will be able to go home soon.

What wonderful news, thank you so much Marje. I don't post on this thread every day, but Lucy, you are always in my thoughts. Sitting up in the chair can be hard work! and it's so wonderful to know about this progress. One step at a time, sweet lady, you are wonderful and brave. We loves ya!!
