Let’s see some activity in the lb Maus. I saw the note on your ss that vet doesn’t think pancreatitis. Did he run a blood test for it? That’s a better way to tell. :bighug:

Back in the green & GIANT poo with fur in the sawdust pile. Whew! And she ate a bunch of grass, so there's probably going to be some barf later, but I'm okay knowing her innards are getting a good flush. I'll keep up with a bit of miralax and psyllium & see if I can get her going more regularly.

I’m so sorry that Maus is not feeling well. I know how sad it makes you when they start to not trust you or try to avoid you because of having to give meds, etc. @Liz & Minnie I know that Minnie is incredibly difficult to pill and you may have tips for Susan - also I believe you tried injections of Cerenia? There is also an injectable form of Ondansetron.
I'm not sure if it's Minnie that's hard to pill or me that's not very good at it! I think I may recently have posted this, but the soluble ondansetron worked for us because even if I couldn't get it far down her throat I could hold her mouth shut long enough for it to dissolve (poor girl). I did not try Cerenia injections but we had to give an antibiotic which stings so much they made us dilute it in saline. That was so stressful for all concerned, I needed to rope in someone to help hold her down and I bought this bag-thing on amazon which she got zipped into so I could give the shot (burrito didn't work). So....I am not in favor of any shots that sting! The best pilling position for her is on the couch next to me and the arm of the couch (so she can't back away). Tip her head back and try to get that point on her jaw where it opens. I got the soluble capsules to put cerenia in, since that makes her drool terribly for ages - though last week I completely forgot about the capsules, there was drool sprayed everywhere...

Exactly my thought about shots that sting. It's not a great thing to use stinging shots on a diabetic cat that you have to shoot every day - twice a day. I do also use the Ondansetron Orally Dissolving Tablets.

I may, but want to limit the variables at the moment. Not sure if she'll eat it, if not, I'll make muffins :p
I used Freeze Dried Pumpkin from Amazon ... some cats don't like it either. Some cats just won't eat anything added to their food. :-(

Mmmmm.... pumpkin muffins... I'm ready for Thanksgiving.

Don't forget that Cerenia (if you are using it -- and if it's pancreatitis it would not hurt to use it) is very bitter and should be put in a gelatin capsule also available on Amazon (Size number 4 usually is a good size even if you have to slightly flatten the capsule out with the pill which is a kind of flat oval, as I'm sure you know.) Don't know if you are already doing this. If so, sorry to bother you with it.
