Good Morning everyone, Wow I'm I worn out after a day with the grandkids digging for Agates and hiking in the sand,all had fun grams cooked homemade Mac-N-Cheese and Ham Lucky stayed in bedroom the whole time and Taz couldn't wait to see his kids for all the petting and attention he could handle Kalohe a little knew to all this with the kids he didn't grow up with them but he followed Taz's cue and mushed his way in, Foxy after hiding behind the couch did venture out for a few to show off her new waistline.Daughter's boyfriend brought me more eggs then I'll ever use have to start passing them around.Pretty colors.Lucky was so happy when everyone left he had to pee real bad..He's a happy kitty today laying on my lap purring.All is well.
I guess no more Friskies mixed grill 11 carbs is to much for Lucky, it was that or more Oceanfish guess I'm back to buying single cans

Lucky back to his green day, higher number maybe from carb food yesterday ? but doing good he is relaxing in the sunshine

It's late in the cycle. I wouldn't give him too much HC now. Maybe a teaspoon of MC, or a touch of HC on top of some LC. Not too much. He should be coming up naturally soon as the insulin duration wains.

Let's get some more experienced eyes. I would test in half an hour and see where he is, then see what he needs.

I think Lucky is going to bounce up by +8 so, 192 is my guess for that BG reading.

I usually test every half hour when J.D. is in the 40s. I would test again at least by +9.

That has brought him up but it is usually dinner time now,but he doesn't have much appetite after having that HC hope he eats some more before his shot time

This is what I usually do.

Depending upon what time in the cycle it is (whether early or late) and how fast he is diving of course:
If J.D. is over 200 I test every 2 hours when I am home on a weekend and gathering data.
If J.D. is in the 100s then I test every 1 to 2 hours.
If J.D. is in the 60s to 80s I test every hour.
If J.D. is under 50 I test every half hour.

The reason I am writing this, is because Lucky could have easily gone lower from those 41s and gone into the low 30s or even the 20s and you would need to take immediate action if he did.

Those are beautiful eggs. Looks like lots of omelets will be enjoyed around your neighborhood.

Take a look at J.D.'s ss for today to see when I test. I stopped at the 85 at +7 because he was definitely rising and it was getting to the end of the cycle.

Thank you for this info,i will keep checking him he get his shot in a couple of hours and now im little worried. He is in cat scratcher sleeping will check again i a bit

Hopefully, he'll come up to a more comfortable range to shoot by +12. If not, how flexible is your shot schedule, is it changable in case you need to stall for a bit?

I would recommend no more feeding until you decide what to do about the shot, or if he drops back below 50, maybe just a teaspoon of feed to bring him back up a bit.

I gave him a half a teaspoon,and that I had to wipe on his nose he just had no appetite today.He did eat the little bit and was happy with that. wont give anymore see if that tad hepled,I can't stall tonight have to be somewhere at 8;30 trmo. unles Lucky really low

I wouldn't feed him any more before you get his PMPS so you can see what the BG is without a food influence. He could be coming up because of the food (which means he could come right back down when the food wears off) or because the insulin from the morning shot is wearing off (which means you want to give him his shot tonight). You might also ask for dosing advice, since Lucky went below 50 (that means a reduction) but he just got a reduction so it may be his shed causing the low numbers. Great job today!

Gave shot hope wasn't a reduction for all his greens just had one, Didn't see Liz's post before this shot. Wow passed out beans sugar dropped 86 ouch, Hope Lucky is ok in hour he still has no interest in wanting food like he does still sleeping let me just test and shot,

Please look over this post on handling low numbers. Like Dyana, I'd encourage you to test every 30 min. when you see numbers in the 40s. There's very little margin for safety when numbers are below 50 so it's helpful to test more frequently so you can be sure numbers aren't dropping even lower.

Lucky begged for some food finally so had to give him something been most of the day without,I will get a +3 didn't give a bunch but it was LC Casino setting off fireworks tonight at 10;15 cats will be upset
