Happy Caturday! Many healing vines to Mali, Zeus, Jessica, Turnup, Michelle's civvie Sabrina, Rusty, and Pat's Shadow.

Gracie was a wild thang this morning. I was visiting condos and she was jumping in and out of her favorite wastebasket (there's a photo in her profile of her sitting in it). Then she would run down the hall, run back into the office, dive under her undercover mouse, run back out....she was BUSY this morning! I need her to do that every day to shake a few ounces loose! :lol: :lol: :lol: I actually got some lap time from her this morning which is a rarity because Scottish Folds are generally NOT lap cats. I put her in my lap on her tummy...stretched across my legs and gave her back scratches galore...which she loves...she is a sucker for back scratches. She actually stayed there FIVE count them FIVE whole minutes!! She had a nice green day yesterday followed by her usual evening mini bounce. :roll:

Here is she is this morning....watching lizards from the catio. How she finds this position comfy, I do not know but she does it all the time. She always has one of her legs propped up on something.



Come here little lizard!!!

We had another Gus "incident" this morning. He came up the ramp to our bed (our bed is really high) and was evidently on the edge of the mattress when he decided to wake me from a dead sleep with a big, rough tongued lick to the face. I sat up quickly and I don't know if the mattress moving caused him to become unbalanced or if I accidentally touched him with my arm but he fell off the bed :o :o :shock: :shock: I was up in a heartbeat but he was already on his feet. This is like your 85 year old mom falling.....it scared me to death. I picked him up and cradled him and then took him in the kitchen to see if he could walk ok or if he was injured. He seems to be just fine....he's been moving around all morning, eating, etc. I feel HORRIBLE...I hope he is not sore tomorrow. He already has bad arthritis. bad mamamamama.

Don't feel so bad MamaBean, Gussie knows you didn't do it on purpose - you would NEVER do it on purpose. It still hurts us tho'...

Miss Gracie - zoomie girl today! NICE Numbers too but then you usually do have nice numbers...Mama an Papa make SURE you do! You don't look very comfy laying like that but you sure are cute!!

Aww Marje, you must have been terrified, when Gus fell. Checks fell off a low desk, and I was scared to death. He didn't have time to land on his feet. He landed on his skin and bones side, but was fine.
I'm glad Gus was not hurt :-D

I laughed out loud when I scrolled down and saw the pic of Princess Gracie.
I may actually like this picture more than the stinkeye picture.
It's like she is saying "I'm not on this thing or using it right now, but don't you forget it's MINE." by claiming it with a paw.

I'm glad Gus is OK after the fall.
You are not a bad mama!!

By the way, I watched your video on how to give sub-Q fluid.
Great video, and Gus is so good!
I wanted to ask you..... instead of using the stand to hang high, I squeeze the bag a little.
Is it bad?

Hi Marje,
Thanks for your help with Rusty today. He's still coming down (135 at +9), and even if he is under 100 by PMPS (unlikely), I will probably add a second drop to the drop I increased by this morning (so the increase will be a little under .25 U). I decided not to give the Bupe until I can speak to my vet with regard to whether or not it is flavored (it is in a bottle that she filled and is more than a year old, so that is another consideration).

Gracie is being Gracie. So glad that Gus is OK. What a wake-up for you!! How's my other best boy?

btw, what dose of Allerplex do you give to Tobey and Gracie? I've been giving 1 capsule in the morning. The vet suggested that when I finish this bottle (I have about 50 capsules to go) I should start giving two capsules a day--one in the morning and one in the evening. Is that because patients require more as they acclimate to it? According to the instructions on the bottle a typical human dose is 9 capsules per day (3 at each meal).

Enjoy the evening. Rusty hopes that Tobey is all set for the big party tomorrow and will invent a recipe for Strawberry-cimmamum cookies.

Oh, I love that picture of Miss Gracie! I have never seen a kitty lay like that :lol: :lol: She makes it look quite comfy!

Glad Gus was ok! Always scary when our seniors take a tumble.

Another nice day for the Principessa! :mrgreen: Did I say that name correctly? Awww.....what a cute pic with that leg placement. Oh poor Gus, I'm glad he's okay. He knows you're the best Mama. I had a recent incident with Mags where she tried jumping onto the sofa and then kind of landed sideways. She was okay, and I worried, too. Have a good weekend,

Sometimes they pick the weirdest positions to be in, yoga kitties :lol: I'm glad Gus is ok, that must have been scary for you :shock: You're a good mama bean, he knows you didn't do it on purpose. Gracie is giving some nice numbers today too, go Gracie! :mrgreen: Have a great night Marje:)

Sometimes I don't know how cats can be comfortable in the positions they choose to lay in. Nice numbers for Gracie today. I'm glad Gus was okay. That had to be scary.

Pretty numbers for Gracie today. Love the picture... Zeus lays like that too, well both legs propped up on something and just his body and front paws on the floor. Cute :-D I'm glad that Gus was OK.

What a beautiful surf for Gracie. Love her picture...they do get comfy in the oddest positions sometimes!

I'm so sorry about Gussie, but I'm sure he knows it was an accident and I'm glad he's OK. It is scary when our seniors take a spill. Last October, during the Sandy blackout, Mario fell off a table...probably because he couldn't quite see, and since it was dark, I couldn't quite see, either - otherwise I wouldn't have let him be there to begin with. It scared the you-know-what out of me. But, he was OK.

That, Gus, he is one tough dude. I'm sorry that happened. You are the best Mamabean and he knows you didn't mean to do that. And, Gracie, you are one very funny kitty. What a pose. :lol: Did Mike's flight get delayed from the computer glitch?

Hi Marje. I saw the photo of Gracie in her waste basket and it's great. She seems to be comfortable and ready to ponce from her "leg up" position. Nice green surf going Gracie.

I hope Gus is still doing ok and that he didn't hurt anything other than his ego in the fall.

What is up with the leg up, princess? What a silly girl. And poor Gussie - I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems, but it's always a bad feeling when they fall and it's not so graceful. I'm sure he forgives you. Safe numbers and good health to all!
 
Thank you all very much for visiting and for making me feel better about the Gussie fall. He has been doing fine all day....moving around, eating well, even interested in playing. So I appreciate everyone's words and also, Amy, you sharing Mario's story. :YMHUG:

Oh that little brown crazy baby had a great day today! What a surf! We are happy to have her in the 70/80s ....we don't need those 50s surfs. She feels good. She spent the afternoon on her cube staring out the back windows watching Mike and me put up the new ceiling fans on the patio.

Liz...Mike called in sick because he was still really croupy yesterday. He is today, too, but he said he feels much better than he has been. He's been one sick dude!

Hope you all have a great evening. We are going to take a quick dip in the pool and grill some fishies for dinner. BBL.

Love the picture of Gracie. She WILL get that lizard...one day! I'm sorry to hear about the Gussie fall, but happy to hear he's doing well. I backed into Shasta yesterday (and the day before). I felt horrible. The next time she came into the kitchen, she stood in the entry way and just stared at my legs and feet but wouldn't come close. :YMSIGH: Thank goodness they forgive us! Nothing better than unconditional love. Sending feel better vines for Mike.
