Hello all!
Just an update on Darwin for you as he did have surgery yesterday. The limping on his left forelimb worsened over the last 3 weeks, despite Adequan, so I elected to go ahead and pursue the stem cell therapy.
With some sedation on board, we got some good x-rays of his elbows, and the radiologist is a little concerned about a fractured coronoid process, which is an orthopedic problem that MAY require surgery
My doctor is hoping we can see what he does in the next 30 days with the stem cells, and go from there. If there is no improvement, then I will likely need to take him for an orthopedic consult and CT of the elbow. Fingers and toes crossed that he won't need all that!!
Other than that, he's been a total trooper. Well, despite all that, even - he was an absolute SMOOSH all day at work yesterday after anesthesia, and is continuing to enjoy his meds today!

I included a video of him for you - it does show his limping...but also how gracefully, and carefully he's learned to come down the cat towers. Good boy.
And here he is looking as handsome as ever after surgery
