Hello all!

Just an update on Darwin for you as he did have surgery yesterday. The limping on his left forelimb worsened over the last 3 weeks, despite Adequan, so I elected to go ahead and pursue the stem cell therapy.

With some sedation on board, we got some good x-rays of his elbows, and the radiologist is a little concerned about a fractured coronoid process, which is an orthopedic problem that MAY require surgery :blackeye: My doctor is hoping we can see what he does in the next 30 days with the stem cells, and go from there. If there is no improvement, then I will likely need to take him for an orthopedic consult and CT of the elbow. Fingers and toes crossed that he won't need all that!!

Other than that, he's been a total trooper. Well, despite all that, even - he was an absolute SMOOSH all day at work yesterday after anesthesia, and is continuing to enjoy his meds today! :cat::cat:

I included a video of him for you - it does show his limping...but also how gracefully, and carefully he's learned to come down the cat towers. Good boy.
And here he is looking as handsome as ever after surgery :cat:

Aawww. He has a strut to his walk and moving well despite the limp. Do you think it is painful?

I think you can see it more pronounced in another video I was able to get. He limps quite significantly on the leg after laying down for a while. I think it’s probably causing him discomfort, but he still gets a wild hair, and goes running around like a manic at times. He’ll still sometimes shoot up those cat towers, as well. Can’t be TOO painful if he can do that! :joyful:
