Checks is his sweet self today. He was not, yesterday. I think he may have felt bad, from those high numbers all afternoon.

Ate well, took his tapazole in bit of cheese. Hasn't had bupe yet. I wait until he's finished eating and drinking, so he doesn't wash the med away. It goes in his cheek pocket.

I need to wait for tractor repair to come and then head to farmer's market (thanks for reminder, Ella).....and library.

YAY for yellow - a much better day today. it is great to see that slow slide back down. paws crossed that Checkers has a great even surf today. Right Checks? :-D

I'm glad little Mr. Sweet Self has reappeared. Looks like he's on his way this morning. Checkers!!!!! Have fun at the Farmer's Market and the Library.
Maybe we can all meet tonight and make a great fresh veggie something or other.

Hi Barb, I like Checkers's slide into blue and glad he is feeling better. Nice of him to give permission for an outing today to Farmer's Market and the Library, enjoy!

Thanks for your experiences with Checkers urinating outside the box in yesterday's condo. You asked how a girlie girl like Mags would do it out the box. :lol: It's so strange, as she has all four legs in the box but is so close to the edge that her tushy is close enough to the edge that her pee hits the floor/pee pads. I guess she thinks she's saving me from scooping.

So much for farmer's market and library.

Had to make an emergency run to WalMart instead of market. This is the first time in 3 years, I ran out of strips.
The ones I thought were in the box of supplies, were lancets.....same color box as strips :o

So, Checkers was at 63, when I discovered I had only a half dozen backup strips. WalMart is a 25 mile trip. Luckily they weren't crowded at the pharmacy.
Gave Checks some yummy gravy, and he surfed nicely, so far. With him, he could be in the 'B'...shhhhhhh, by preshot. :roll:

Yay, looks like we will make it to preshot, without a red or that other unmentionable number. Half hour to go. I had to make up time for shooting early last night.

What an interesting day you and Checks had! His numbers were great :mrgreen: and he had a nice surf. Too bad about the spur-of-the-moment trip to Walmart for strips! Good thing you discovered the problem.
Thanks for your comments in Rusty's condo about giving Bupe orally. If I have to do it, that's what I will do (but not with the Bupe I have, which may be compromised).

Did you get your tractor fixed? Hope so. With all this rain everything grows really fast.

Wow, Checks...way to keep MamaBean on her toes!! I usually order my strips from ADW. Last winter - Dec 23 to be precise - my order was hung up somewhere in shipping, and I had to run to Walmart for strips :? ...ever since then, I have been extra diligent about having an over-abundance on hand :lol: !

OH gee, thanks Amy. You'd think I'd know enough to come home and order my regular strips right away. Nope, I forgot!

I just ordered my Presto strips, from Amazon, using the link at top of page.
I like that FDMB gets a bit of that.

Well, we had a really nice day. He waited until the pm cycle, to hit pink. :-D

Ella, tractor got taken to shop. I can't change the big back tire, that got flat.
OKay, I don't do the front either, anymore. :lol:
