Charlie did some throwing up in the middle of the night last night. A couple times in a row but it was mostly food. I tried to give him some cerenia but realized he must have spit it out. I also gave him another small squirt off the buprenorphine syringe.

I have a couple questions. Should I raise his dose soon? Or keep it steady until his mouth has had time to heal?

I think on my last post I said I was giving him clindamycin once a day but its actually every 12 hours. This poor guy is pooping his guts out. Several piles of diarrhea in the litter box this morning. I've got probiotics ordered and on the way. Could I reduce to giving it to him just once a day? or stick with the twice a day? I guess it will be over quicker if we stick to twice a day. I just feel bad for his bum, and worry about dehydration due to so much diarrhea.

Can you get probiotics locally and sooner? Just wondering what you ordered and how long it's going to take to get it.
 
I ordered some nutramax proviable probiotics from chewy. It says it may be here Tuesday. My local petsmart doesn't have it in stock. I'll probably call the vet Monday morning, I'm sure they'll have something! Other than the diarrhea he seems to be doing alright today!
 
Locally you can probably buy some s. boullardi in any vitamin shop. Or even a regular store with a pharmacy - Florastor is one brand, there are others. It can help with the diarrhea. Renew Ultimate brand probiotics for humans can also be given and are available at lots of stores. i wouldn't want him to wait until Tuesday for relief.
