Good Morning, Everyone. Happy Fathers' Day to all dads out there. Happy Summer Solstice (or Winter Solstice for you Aussies).

Rusty had a good night, ate all his nighttime food, and this morning has a high blue AMPS. He is having a bit of a delayed bounce from the trip.
Weather is back to rain: but quite warm. Maybe we'll see the sun again on Wednesday. Today we are going to start the Milkweed seeds and hope that they will germinate. We want to help the Monarch butterflies.

bbl. Wishing all a fine day,

Ella & Rusty

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Not too bad of a start for Rusty today. A nice blue, even if it is a bouncy blue. Maybe off to the lagoon in a few Rusty?

Bummer on the rain... It seems so odd for us not to have any, haven't had significant rainfall in some time, and you guys are getting more than your fair share. Nice though that it is a warm rain.

Good luck with the milkweed seeds! I really hope that is a huge success.

Enjoy your Sunday! I hope all goes well, that there is fun involved. :)

Rusty had an "altercation" with a new neighbor kitty. He was outside. All of a sudden he disappeared around the side of the house and we heard a mighty cat scream and caught a glimpse of a small cat running across the street to her home (she was recently adopted). I don't know who screamed, Rusty or Leilo (a female about 10 months old), but two deer were grazing on the lawn and they hightailed it outta there. Rusty, who sure doesn't like other cats, especially in "his" yard, has spent the rest of the afternoon in his basket. He "forgot" to finish his lunch, but is eating now (bg 53 at +9.5!!). The LagoonMeister is on duty at the deep end.

Lots of downpours today. We got caught in one on our walk.

gotta chase dem kitties away.... I won't even let them in the room wif me.... everything is mine....

I have to see if I can find some seeds....so I can do the same here.

Rusty man!! Great to see you back on the job!! Now we just got to get Max and Cinco back down where they belong and the gang's all there!

Tanks fur takin' over da duties at da deep end of da lagoon. ~Neko

Can we borrow some of that rain? Poor little Leilo in meeting the mighty Rusty on patrol!

Brings back memories of Zener, getting into fights protecting his back yard. Rusty, I hope you didn't get any scratches or bites. I see they think the prison escapees are in southern New York, far from you. I hope they catch them soon.
Liz

You want me to send da boxing kangaroo Rusty, dat take care of de pesky interloper!

I guess Leilo has just found out what's not going to be a part of her territory! Nice meistering Rusty

Rain continues. Long downpours. Rusty isn't happy in this humidity. His beans aren't, either. We didn't plant the milkweed seeds because we needed dry sand to "scrub" them properly. Probably just as well, since they would have washed away in all this rain.
A paddle has been scheduled for tomorrow, but remains questionable.

Rusty is on shore tonight, but not far from the water's edge.

How very inhospitable of you, Rusty. Is that any way to welcome a newcomer to the neighborhood? Ah, well, I guess one has to set boundaries from the beginning.

I'm glad you were on duty today. Cinco is still on shore patrol. It might be a while before he gets back in the water.
