Morning ~O) ~O) a nice blue start for Maggie this Friday. Four P's and lots of chatter. Mags woke me up just 10 minutes before the alarm rang, so I'm not as sleepy as yesterday but will still go for extras of Elsa Lil Bit's coffee. She is a star Barista doing Mannie proud. Four P's today and ever hopeful on the prezzies, as Detective would say. Mags is still doing the four feet in box and peeing out of the box. So I''ve stocked up on pee pads and liners around the box. I think it's because of some stiffness in her back legs. It's a low entry box to make it easu for her, so it's also easy for her to whiz out the box. :? It may be time for an AC consult to see what's up. I'm always amazed at how much she knows without me saying too much.
ETA - There's no UTI, as she just had a urinalysis when it began. She will have another urinalysis and b/w this Tuesday and also a Sani-Cut.

Mags took a dip in the Green Lagoon at the pm +3. I gave her a spoon of FF T&G and left some overnight fuds and she was good for the night. Mags is extreme carb sensitive, so I'm lucky in that respect.

Wishing all a good Friday. Healing vines to kitties needing them.

Re: 6/21 Maggie AMPS 173

Lookin' awesome, Maggie! I hear there are several LL kitties who, like Maggie, have good intentions with the LB, but are still aiming in the wrong direction   . I wonder of Maggie's stiffness is advanced enough to consider adding Adequan to her regimen. That stuff worked wonders for Mario's arthritis. Maybe that's something to ask your vetty about.

Have a great day, Ann!

Re: 6/21 Maggie AMPS 173

Hi, Ann, fingers crossed for prezzies today. Sorry to hear she's still 'coloring outside of the lines.' Pee pads are such a good thing to have around. (Sometimes I can find them at a dollar store! Score!)

I hope Mags decides to put on her greenkini today. It is officially Summer, after all!

Enjoy your day!

And a dip in the Green Lagoon. I saw my neighbor as i emptied my trash and wanted to take a walk with her and her dog, but thought I'd better check the Magster! :-D

Amy, thanks for the recommendation of Adequan. I know several kitties who take it and do well. Mags is on Dasuquin, and it seems to be helping her front leg. She was having a limp, but seems to be doing better.
Mags is geting a Sani Cut next Tuesday, but that's for the other problem.

Hi Josie, thanks for the prezzie vines. You predicted her right as green kini in place and ready to go swimming. Yes, those pee pads are great. I have been buying at petco - 10 potty pans for $5.99. I should check around on the other sites.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)

YaHOO! We have GREEN! Well done Maggie. back to the lagoon for you. Best were your prettiest green 'kini!

Love the pee pads too - what a life saver they can be. I bought mine at petsmart, 50 of them for maybe $20. ?? not sure on that... I ended up with the extra large doggie size, that covered the area I needed covered. Mannie has such issues when he started to get sick, so we helped him out some. anyways... they are a nice tool to use.

I hope you still made it out on that walk. Weather good there in sunny CA?

have a great one today!

Detective Poo stopping by. Yes, every hopeful. I think you are due, Mags, so I am sending strong poo vines. Happy Solstice, Ann!

Well, one of Maggie's quick dips in the Green Lagoon, places to go and kitties to meet I guess! :-D I guess this gives the Bean some time to get out, too!

Michelle, thanks on the Magster. I dunno, maybe the water was too cool for her! That's a better deal on the pee pads. I should buy the larger size also for all around the box. Thanks for your experiences with it.

Detective Poo, you're right as Mags is overdue on the prezzies. I just gave her a second dose of the Miralax cocktail and to more to go, but I try and space them out thru the day. Might need a nightcap. Happy Solstice back to all of you.

Re: 6/21 Maggie AMPS 173; +4 74; +5.5 117

Hi Ann. Nice that Maggie put her toe in the water atthe Lagoon. I guess the temperature wasn't to her liking but hopefully she'll return and test it again.

Do you think Maggie would use a different LB. I was thinking a large covered one with a thin piece of plastic over the entrance, kind of like a pet door. If she would push the plastic out of her way to get in it would drop down again aft she entered and would block any pee from getting out. Just a thought.

Have a great day Ann.

Hi John, thanks and that's a good recommendation of the covered lb and piece of plastic over the entry. It sure is worth a try. I've never had a covered lb before, so might be curious to her.

Morning. ~O) Maggie's got some nice numbers going....

Shadow's doing the adequan now. I think it is helping her feel better.

There is someone who took a storage tub and cut an entrance ... has nice high sides that might make it harder to pee on the outside.

Nice little dip into the green. Poor Mags and poor you. That is no fun when they are stiff like that. I hope you figure something out for her to help with the peeing over the side of the box. Have a great day Ann!!

Re: 6/21 Maggie AMPS 173; +4 74; +5.5 117

It's nice to see Maggie dip into the lagoon today. I use covered lbs. The ones I have have high sides and the opening is high. If you got one like that, Maggie might have trouble getting in if her legs are stiff.

Not too bad of a day for Maggie girl!

Thanks for the visits Rhiannon, Melissa and Carla and thanks on suggestions on how to help Mags with her #1 LB issues. Today she has hardly gone at all and most sleeping all day. It's a very warm day here.

Hi Ann

What a lovely day for Miss Mags. It must be nice to have a cat so consistent with the morning nadir.

I am another one with peeing outside the box issues. Checkers piles his litter in the back of the box, then backs up, and of course it goes over, with a regular box.
I used to hang a sheet of plastic on the wall, letting it hang inside to run down, but occasionally he'd go over the side, or out the front. Oy Now he has the large storage box, opening cut low...solved the problem.
I never could understand how a girl manages to go outside. Does she hang her little tushy over the edge?
