Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy First Day of SUMMER!!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a great week. The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. The other grandparents were on vacation last week, so I had the boys all five days. @-)   What a BUSY week! Yesterday, like all Fridays, was very much a water day, what with swimming in the morning, and swimming again in the evening. BUSY!!!!  Swimming was as good as it always is. The energizer fishie was in his element, and continues to have a great time in the pool. He continues to swim two, sometimes more, widths of the pool on his own again yesterday. Friday he was "racing" some of the older kids, and managed to keep up with them. Fun to watch these doggie paddle swim races. We still swim at the MLT pool, not his main pool, on Friday nights. That was as fun as always. It is amazing that Nicholas still had enough energy to swim there, but he did! He knew when he was done, and told me so. Smart kid! Thursday's swim was also a good one, many many swims under the surface! Lots of fun interacting with alot of the other kids there. That is really fun to watch. I communique to be grateful to my DMIL, Connie, who watches William for me so Nicholas and I can swim. She filled in for both swim days this week. Thanks you Connie!! We made it home for naps after both swim days, they were so needed. Swimming is, after all, HARD WORK!

Nicholas still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast too. That is just so fun: burgers and fries, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. Last night we again talked Mariners Baseball, as well as all our berry hunts. He was into the trees that surround the pool last night - just talking about eh differ net kinds there are there. I still love that drive from the pool to his house: 30 minutes of little guy stories, my little back seat driver! Quite the imagination he has. He tells stories, we continue to look for rainbows and sunsets and views of Seattle, baseball and trains. Last night we made up this grand adventure, a trip to all these cool places, and what we would do when we were there. Great drive home: sunny skies, and the making of a great sunset! AWESOME TIME!

Nick's Pics
continue. He has fun with it, so I continue to encourage it anytime he asks for the camera. It still continues to be interesting to me to see what it is he chooses to take photos of. Often it is just to record what he sees at that moment. He was busy with the camera at the aquarium, the science center (yupp! that's me in there....), and then just one morning when we were playing games. He thought the game screen made a great photo.

Monday found us at the Pacific Science Center. The week before Nicholas had asked to go, and with the weather being what it was, Monday seemed like a great day to make it an indoor day. The day started out pretty much like they all do when the boys are here: play time when they arrive, and then one of Nicholas's awesome breffis's: pancakes and sausages and all kinds of berries. William has graduated from pureed foods, and is so happy to be eating, more or less, what his brother eats. It seems he too is a huge berry fan. So after a great start, and an awesome morning with the boys, we went in search of cool things at the Science Center. The Butterfly House was great. They have acquired a few giant moths - very awesome to see. That guy was about 6" in diameter. We were lucky to be able to see him. We had a great time too with all that the center has to offer. We spent alot of time with their water works outdoors, and then toured the grounds, looking at the gardens, having a picnic lunch on the lawns. Really a great time.

Tuesday was another debatable weather day, lots of clouds and pending rains. so... another indoor day to start. Per Nicholas's choice we were off to the Seattle Aquarium. Both boys love that place. William is so taken back by all the colors of the tropical fish tanks, and eh water fall there. That too has always been a hit with Nicholas. Check out the video in the photo album, Looks how William has grown! :-D There were alot of the areas that we just didn't visit this trip. The Aquarium was on kid overload. I have never ever seen it that busy, some stuff we just couldn't get to to see: too many people! The boys didn't mind, we just focused on what we could see, where they could get close enough to enjoy. After the Aquarium we spent some time on the Water Front park, walked the boardwalks, and had lunch #2 outside. That was fun, as the skies had cleared some, the sun was out, and well... it just felt great!

Wednesday was a "road trip" day, off to see the river. The weather was a bit more favorable so we took a chance and headed on out to Gold Bar and the Skykomish River, to the spot we always go too. The day ended up being a berry hunt day. While we waited through an early morning cloud bank, and cool temperatures, we decided to do the Mesika pool trail before heading onto Gold Bar. Nicholas loves to berry hunt there, so it seemed like a good time to go, early on in the day, before the river. the afternoon when it would be warmer there. We found alot of berries on that pool trail. The huckleberries were ready! YUM, per Nicholas. Even William likes those. The river was gorgeous. Such a pretty emerald green color. The boys had a grand time there. We were even lucky enough to see a group of rafters do their thing. nicholas says he wants to try that. COOL! It was such a hoot to see William love it so. and quite the battle to jeep him out of the water. I was constantly pulling him back, and keeping him at waters edge. he just wanted to go in and splash and play. He finally settled for the parameters I set for him, and had a blast. Nicholas, as always loves this place. Alot of sticks and rocks and seeing how far he could toss them into the river. We found lots of salmonberries there, the thimbleberries are just starting to make fruit. In a week or so they should be at their best. There so many bushes.... YUM when we return.

Thursday afternoon, after morning swimming, we ended up at the new local park we have found. Meadowdale Park continues to be a favorite of Nicholas's. The playground equipment is really nice, with good challenges for him, and well there is that zip line.    That thing is so fun. Nicholas just loves it. Yesterday he was ale to make it all work without Grammie's help. :-D  He has made a few new friends during our visits there, and on yesterday he met two more. It was nice that he is willing to play with whomever he meets there. It is so great to be able to watch him play with boys his own age. They run and climb on everything. The laughs for them are endless. William watches it all, trying so much to be part of the group. What with Swimming in the morning and these park outings in the afternoon, we have, of late, been heading home after that, late afternoon, as both boys are beat, and some serious napping is in order. I know that the day has been good when I catch Nicholas smiling in his sleep. William too!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Crazy fun Lola. I know I write this alot, but it all continues to be true: When I got home last night I watched the usual Friday night run and romp. That is so fun to watch, and so what goes down here on FR nights. Elsa just watches, trying to decide if she wants to run too. We have been, lately, getting her to join in on one of the romps. She runs once, maybe twice, chasing Bug down the hall. Not too bad for my senior gal.  This is about the only time I can ever get her to run like that. It is nice to see once in a while. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. Just as it always is. LOVE THAT! Lola was rolling on the stairs, Bug was pacing, and Elsa was just sitting with that stare: where have you been? Definitely a normal Friday night for the kitties. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. The runs were endless last night. Lola has been fairly good, no plant issues, no torn papers, boxes remain intact. We only had one broken knick-knack, that she managed to bat off the shelf the other night. Today is shopping day so she will get a new paper bag.  No doubt that will make her day. She still tries SO HARD to get outside during our warmer days, she runs from window to window hoping maybe those screen have disappeared.  Yesterday she succeeded once: she is very quick and very good at leaping out the door, through those few inches of that opening... I know.... she needs a catio.... She continues too to pound on all glass and plastic surfaces. What a hoot. Still walking the railing and the frig door. Crazy fun Lola! Bug continues to warm up to the boys more and more as the days go by. Sure is nice to see that. He has come to sit by William at times when he sleeps. That so reminds me of Mannie and Nicholas. Elsa is still dong well, darn active for an almost 18 year old. She sleeps alot, but what the heck: part of being a cat. She continues to be a very good lap cat of late: nice! With the warm weather she has been out in the yard alot. Lola is SO JEALOUS!!, and lets me know it whenever she sees Big Sis out in the yard. It is interesting that Bug just doesn't seem to mind at all. He is more than content to be a house cat. Kitties are good, and All are sound asleep as I write this.... Stay good kitties! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I am off to get those chores done, do my laundry, fill the kitty pantry, and try and relax some. No rains today and abundant sunshine, so I hope to get out on a through the woods to the shore walk. YAHOO! Made it last weekend. It is so nice that the woods and the shore are as close as they are! The walks there have been great.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 6/21 LOOSE LIPS: one BUSY week! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Hey Michelle, Are you still standing? Wow, what a week!! The pics are wonderful. The ones in the Aquarium are amazing. The boys look great. And, yes, William is growing like mad. I like the pic of their jeans after playing on the Skykomish riverbank.

I hope you have been able to get some quiet time this weekend. You must need that! Gotta refill the tank! Give all the kitties scritches for us and please tell Elsa how much we appreciate that ~O) ~O) .

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 6/21 LOOSE LIPS: one BUSY week! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

You have been busy this week, but it sounds like it was a lot of fun. I'm glad the kitties are all doing well. Hopefully you can get a catio for Lola soon.

Re: 6/21 LOOSE LIPS: one BUSY week! HAPPY CATURDAY LL!!

Hi Ella! ~O) ~O) ~O) LOL, ad yes, still standing, but wow: TIRED! DUH!  But it was fun, despite the busy. The Aquarium is alwyas such a fun place. All of us like it there. It is out fall back place when weather is awful, we just never tire of it. I liked that jeans photo too. I thought it was indicative of the mess they become after a day on the river. All in good fun though. :-D THX on the boys - they are good, and such fun. Me too on the rest, sure will try. I did the local hike today, just becasue it was close, and the weather here was great! I will try and post those photos tomorrow, when I update this condo. SO greed on refilling the tank... Scritches shall be dispensed and Elsa, well Elsa loves her job, and says to tell you she will see you in the morning.

Hi Carla! That I have, but you are right: it was fun, and I enjoyed it all. THX too on the kitties and ever so agreed on that catio. I say it all the time, but after 5 escapes from Lola today     , one is sorely needed! Then she can get out some anytime she wants, and I'm not constantly dodging and thwarting that flying bullet as she leaps through the door opening.

Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Ahhhhhh.... elixir! Thanks Elsa), and Happy Sunday LL!!

No worries, a dollop of apple and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with crystallized apple bits and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

Happy Sunday LL!! I hope your Sunday is starting out well, and that Saturday was a great day for you. We did OK The weekend has been a mellow one so far. Errands, and shopping and laundry were done by noon yesterday, and the weather was really very nice and sunny, so I decided to head on out for a walk through the local woods at Meadowdale to the shore. That was great! The sun was in full swing, and all it touched was covered with this golden light. The trees all had this vibrant green color as a result. The good weather continued early on today, so I decided to head on down to Picnic Point, a few miles from the house. for an early morning beach walk. So at 5AM off I went, coffee in one had, camera in the other. Wow! What a beautiful morning at the shore. The tide was out so I was able to walk some distance. Up north a couple of miles is some old derelict ship remains long gone that dot the beach. hey are so cool to visit, relics from a time long ago. There's a crazy old man that lives up here who thinks this property belongs to him and him alone, and will chase you off with his shotgun   . I avoided him today. You gotta love it all. I had a great time, really enjoyed the walk. Erin Jason and Nicholas and William will be by for a bit later on today. Nicholas is getting his hair cut by my niece, who lives nearby, so they will stop in once that is done. YahOO! A visit day!

Have a great day today, everyone. :-D :-D :-D

ETA: Almost forgot! Lola has been VERY BUSY, and is perfecting her escape artist skills. 5 ESCAPES yesterday. She is getting very good at waiting by the door when she hers us come home, and BOLTS through the opening as soon as there is one. :o    . I guess I really do need to get my self in gear and figure this catio/kitty run thing SOON! well duh.... 5 search and rescues were a bit much.
