? 6-21 Help please...PMPS 89 for Tiffany. Do I give her the normal 12 units???

She has never posted this low. She did not eat as much as usual today. I had an all day meeting and did not do a test during the day...please advice.

Sorry, I should have just replied to you...tested with two different meters. It was a good test. She is not doing great today....I noticed she had thrown up her earlier meal.
 
Can you monitor tonight? Do you have plenty of strips and high carb food? Do you think she will eat?

She is coming up. Often Levemir cats nadir around shot time.
 
You have shot 12 units on 124. 98 isn't much different. But you have to be able to monitor and intervene if needed. I can't stay up late with you tonight. I am getting ready to go on a trip.
 
You say she is not doing great. Have you tested her for ketones today? Has she eaten at all since she threw up?

Hi Wendy,

I am fine to monitor, however, she has never NOT had an appetite and unfortunately, that is the case today. She had about half of her dinner.

Yes, she did have some of her dinner before I tested...she takes about 60 minutes eat a meal and I often will give her a shot to keep her on time. She is eating more now. I think I will go ahead and shoot and monitor her through the night.
 
Her ketones were negative I am assuming, and that is good. If you end up having to give her some higher carb food tonight, don't forget not to get her too full. Because of her tummy issues, some Karo, honey, or syrup may be better if it comes to that. Good luck tonight.
