I figured out the +2 spike is from him getting 2 pill pockets the past 2 mornings because I bought Cosequin for dogs (Wally World didn't have the cat forumula)
thinking it would also be in capsule form. But it's big chewable pills that I cut in half and stuff in a pill pocket. Today I finally read the ingredients in
Pill Pockets (those are also for dogs because my Petsmart doesn't carry them for cats) :o They have glycerin and corn syrup! He'd been getting one PP every
morning with his Zobaline. Not sure how I'm going to give that to him now; shoving it down his throat is so unpleasant.
 
I use gel capsules for meds. They are tasteless and so Dimitri won't taste anything. Then I give Max a little baby food as a chaser which he loves. You can buy them from thrivingpets.com or capsuline.com. I like the size 3. The smaller the number the larger the capsule.
 
Thanks Elise! I've got size 0 capsules that I use for my own stuff, but I know those are too big for Dimitri. I'll get the smaller ones.
His +5 was right back down in the 60's just like yesterday, so I'm sure the spike was the 2 pill pockets. I'm setting those aside for the dog only.
 
the Dog version of the Duck and Pea pill pockets are safe for diabetics.

Good job being the detective and figuring that out! Ya gotta do a lot of that with FD!
 
Yes, size 0 is too big. The largest I have ever given is size 1 but I like 3 or 4 the best. I spent the extra money to buy the 5 but while they are a little smaller I didn't notice it made it any easier on Max.
