Hi everyone. Has anyone else had this happen? I finally got a reply from Hyperdrug.co.uk who say my package was declined by customs and is on the way back to the UK. :( Please can someone advise what to do now - I guess I have to get calipers but no idea where from or what kind (if you Google there are SO many!) and also what is best syringe now I can't get the 1/2 unit ones. So frustrated. :(

Hi Deb, I have not heard of this happening before to anyone. I don’t know why that happened.

Yes those are the correct syringes to get but they are not 1/2 unit syringes. I managed for several years with just the 1 unit syringes and used a magnifying glass to get the correct dose. I never used callipers.. I think @tiffmaxee may have used them.

Here’s a link to using calipers.

I second the use of calipers! Even with the half unit markings a lot of the time the lines on the syringes are printed very inconsistently. The zero line can be all over the place. I bought a cheap light board that is usually for drawing and tracing but lots of people here use a light board app on their smartphones or iPads and use magnifiers. Calipers take a little getting used to, but they ensure that you get the same dose all the time. Consistency is key.
