with 1 iu shot her numbers are as written. I wonder what I'm going to do at PMPS with a low number, I've got one hour left :?

Hello and welcome.
I'm new here too. Pepper was just DX on 6-1-11. I faced the same problem only 4 days after starting. I too didn't know what to do and same as you, no one was online to help me as it was the middle of the night for most members.
The article about shooting at low numbers gives you 3 options. Shot, shot but less insulin, and wait. Pepper's BG was only 89 at +11 so I was really worried but found it had gone up to 123 at PMPS. Tifil's should go up some too by shot time too. However, I know you want to go to bed and not worry about hypo.
Since you don't have much information yet (same as I didn't), low and slow is the rule. It is better to have higher numbers later than having a hypo problem. I shot a half dose, only because Peppers number came up about 30 points before PMPS. If they had gone down I would have waited. It looks like Tifil's numbers are on the rise too.
I knew it is very close to your shot time and you are waiting for an answer so I will send what I have written and will add more in another note.

It would really help everyone if you could get a spreadsheet made up. It doesn't take long to make and it would help with giving you advice on what to do with low numbers.
If you look at my spreadsheet you will see that I should have went back to a full dose with the NEXT shot but didn't. I was scared to. I just didn't have enough information on how Pepper reacted to the insulin. Now I know better because I have more information on him.
I hope my information helped. I know this early in treatment it's better to go low with the insulin. Having a little higher numbers until you get more information and figure out how much insulin Tifil needs to maintain her BG is better so long as they don't go really high again.

OK, I looked it up (bladder inflammation) and it may just be the diabetes yet too. Pepper was peeing a river each time he went until the insulin kicked in this week. He has also slowed down on drinking so much water now too. Is Tifil still drinking a lot? If he is I would be less worried about cystitis and think it was more the diabetes. However it wouldn't be a bad idea to have the vet check him out.

Like Deb suggested, it would help enormously if you could begin to consolidate your test data on a spreadsheet. I've linked the instructions.

Bad news,
I saw blood in her litter box called the vet immediately, he gave antibiotic and painkiler. Tıfıl also decided to make her toilet all over the house, first my bed then the laundry while trying to deal with the BG, now I have another illness to learn
I will prepare the spread sheet now.
By the way her PMPS was 117, +1 was 132..I couldn't have chance to test again while dealing with our new sickness. I gave her the antibiotic in Fancy Feast. And the pain killer forcibly

It sounds like a urinary track infection but could also be cystitis. Please keep up the testing. If there is an infection and/or pain present, as the antibiotic and/or pain medications start working, Tifil's numbers may respond by dropping. Pain and infection/inflammation can raise BG levels.

I would try again. I just tried and it took a very long time to open the World Template, it could have timed out with Google.
Very nice looking PMPS and cycle so far. I'm sorry to hear about the new problem, although that could be part of the problem with the elevated BGs. Tess had a similar problem in December. She started feeling better almost as soon as she started getting the antibiotics. Our vet also recommended a glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplement and she has had no further problems. Her BG and insulin needs also dropped significantly afterwards too.

Oh great! I hope they can help you get the ss up and running. I had a heck of a time myself first time. You're learning a lot with Tifil and doing good. I hope Tifil is feeling better and your day at work went well.
