It seems to be more tummy upset, but cats hide their pain so well, it's difficult to know for sure.
I don't use SEB, and haven't tried BBD or Canna oil. How do they help?
SEB is a digestive supplement - think of it kinda like Pepto for kitties - it helps coat the digestive track - soothing it and calming it down. I just make a slurry using 1/8 teaspoon and a bit of hot water and let it sit for a bit to thicken up then put it in the food - it is pleasant tasting so it should be an issue giving it to TiTi unless she is super picky with eating. Marshmallow root is similar - in fact, I just started using it (MR) vs. SEB (it is prepared the same way). SEB/MR needs to be given 2 hours before or after any other meds/supplements as they inhibit absorption of other meds.
Canna - well, it is cannabis with out the THC (high). It sonks Gizmo out if I give a full capsule but a 1/2 cap just kinda mellows him out (and gets rid of the pained, pinched look on his face - if you know what I mean). It also helps with appetite.
I am just letting you know that someone else here let me know that when products have blood thinners, you need to check with your vet, to make sure your kitty is ok to have those things. My vet is stupid and hard to say she would even know lol When asking about anything that is not a prescribed thing, the vets I have to deal with just laugh and say - you can try it but I dont know anything about it haha
So, I have four items I bought that I wont be using, that are blood thinners, act as blood thinners or have blood thinning properties hahaha If I end up thinking to use them, I guess I will ask my stupid vet if she can tell me if the kitties can have blood thinners but even if she said yes, I wouldnt know for sure if she even knew for sure haha
But if you trust your vet, be sure to ask, or dont use them. For now, what I am using does state not to be used with any type of blood thinner.
Unless you already know your kitty can have blood thinning products, be sure to search whatever you want to use and see if it is anything to do with blood thinners.
I did not know blood thinning even mattered until someone here told me to be sure to ask my vet if it is ok to give to kitties and then the products I am using arrived, stating not to use them -- Oh so I guess, also be sure whatever you choose to use can be used with blood thinning products.
Here are the ones I ordered that I searched info on and they are to do with blood thinning...
Chamomile Tea and Slippery Elm Bark - both blood thinners
CBD Oil or any Hemp/Marijuana Product - acts as a blood thinner
Cosequin - has blood thinning properties
