Good Morning, Everyone,

It's a beautiful day today. Rusty woke us up early, hungry. His nighttime food was gone and he was eager for breakfast. We had a good test, shot, breakfast (first sitting and most of 2nd sitting eaten), lung treat, schmooze, and now a nap. He knows that we're going to be out today and is a little anxious, but this is not an all-day paddle and we'll be home by mid afternoon, in time for +9.

Off to the paddle (Racquette River from "the Crusher" to Moody Landing on Tupper Lake). The original paddle on the Saranac River had to be scrapped because of dangerously high water levels (unable to get canoes and paddlers under the bridges) and worry that the take-out--which is right before a serious rapids--would not be negociable. Back this afternoon. Everyone have a good day.

Healing vines to all who need some,

Ella & Rusty

Yo kitties, What do you say that we go visit Elsa, Bug and Lola today. We can play in the tree house and check out the Paw Prints Pizza operation. See you all later,
~ Rusty

Nice start for Rusty. Those hungry kitties in the morning are fun. Poor Rusty was starving. Have a great day on your paddle. Sounds beautiful.

Morning Ella and Rusty, nice blue start for Rusty and nice report, too! Enjoy your paddle today, sounds like a great day for it. Plenty of sunscreen!
Rusty, sounds like a plan to visit Lola and Bug in the Treehouse. Can't wait to see the Paw Prints Pizza Operation and sample some, too, Mags

Nice start for a day out! Safe BLUES!

Have fun today! sounds like a nice paddle!

Rusty! Great idea on visiting the treehouse and Lola and Bug's operation. Bug wants to do a strawberry infused crust/ Purrfect, we can work out some dessert pizzas for the Strawberry Full Moon Party! How about a Strawberries and Cream Pizza w/ Candies Orange Blossoms! Each member of the Kitchen Krew can put their paw print in the crust!!! -- Tess

Hi again,
Rusty may have slid to the lagoon, but more likely he climbed up on the yellow beach. He survived his day alone-at-home and now maybe will decide to come down again. (But sometimes it takes 72 hours to break a bounce.) Tomorrow he'll be alone again at home. Edward and I will be going down to Camp for the day to get it ready for next weekend, when Linda (Bear Man) will be visiting us. We need to do some shopping and take things to camp, because there is no shopping in the Village of Indian Lake (except for a convenience store).

At the moment Rusty is sacked out on the front porch in that wicker chair that he likes to sleep in (the one I posted a pic of a couple of days ago). He is supremely content. It was a beautiful day today and it is a beautiful evening. Our paddle on the Racquette River was wonderful. The Racquette is a slow-moving, grand river that has served as a "highway" since colonial times. It flows north, into the St. Lawrence. It had overflowed its banks in many places because of all the recent rains and you could paddle amongst the trees.

Wishing everyone a fine evening,

Ella & Rusty

Sacked out on the front porch sounds like a lovely place to be! So great that he is "supremely content". What better than having your beans back home and fuds in the tummy? Well, maybe a trip to the lagoon or at least the shores tonight Rusty?

Sounds like a wonderful paddle. I once kayaked in a lake that had risen up amongst the trees and it is rather cool to paddle amongst them.

Oh yikes, I have to start packing! I am all set with my new GPS and new suitcase (soft-sided and lightweight). My car has been giving me some trouble, so I made an appointment to take it in on Monday. I am looking forward to seeing all of you again!

How neat to have visits....

the Saranac River sounds more like some white water rafting to me....

Hope Rusty can get back to the blues.....

The 345 tonight is unexpected. No fur shots, so it must be because of the pancreatitis. Or maybe I need to start a new pen (this is day 47 on this one). Rusty seems tired tonight, even though he slept all day.

ni ni all,

Ella & Rusty

Rusty come down! I hope he is doing ok, Ella. Poor Rusty if the pancreatitis is flaring again. Is it just because his numbers go up that you suspect it? I mean, he has no other clinical signs? Wonder if he has a bit of pain causing the numbers to rise?

I'm glad you all had such a great paddle today. Sounds lovely. How exciting that Linda is visiting again!
