I did not start the Lev this morning since we were going to be gone all day although it looks like Putty may have hit green for his last day on Lantus. Look how fast that Lev is working.....he is already back to green. ;-)

I have switched his food to Wellness.....so no more Fancy Feast. Putty has always had a soft coat but since he has been only eating Wellness it is even softer. He does not leave a morsel in his bowl.....he loves it. cat_pet_icon
I am excited about the new insulin.....I was a little reluctant at first but I have not been happy seeing Putty bounce so high and being in higher numbers most of the time because he does not feel very well when he is high yellow, pink or red. I have no idea how the Lev will work for him but I will try anything for the hope of regulation.

At the advice of Libby he is starting at 1.00 unit twice a day.

O/T I am sorry for my absence, this has been a tough week for me and my family. It was my birthday, my parent's anniversary and Father's Day all a first without my Dad. I miss him so much. :YMSIGH:

Good luck with the Lev, Miriam. Sometimes a change is good.

The "firsts" are always the hardest, I know. I lost my brother and my father within a two year period and found as the years go on, the pain is replaced with sweet memories. I hope that your week gets better as the days go by.

It sounds like a bittersweet time. I hope you had a chance to remember all of the wonderful times with your dad.

I would normally give HC for these numbers but I am going to just let him surf and see where he goes. I know these numbers are based on the last Lantus dose. I am not sure how long it takes for a new insulin to kick in. His dose was reduced so that also may play a part in tomorrow's number whether it be high from a bounce or not enough insulin.

(((((Miriam))))) I was also feeling blue today, although it has been a few yrs. that my Dad is gone--Always a hard day for those of us who have lost their Dads. But that is why we have family, to get us through--and then there is this Family here that never lets you down!

I think the Lev will be great for Putty & he will do really well--Big Hugs from Us always!!

Guess Putty has both Lantus and Lev in his system right now...wow...interesting, isn't it? I am hoping that he wills ettle in nicely with the Lev and that you will be able to see some results soon. :roll: waiting.....waiting.....waiting....

I'm sorry that you had such a tough week. Days like that just your feelings of missing him even stronger. May your good memories help you through.
