Yesterday, beautiful bi-color by day, sleep permit at night. :-D

It's amazing how much better the day looks when the bean gets sleep. Neko did go green overnight, but I'm pretty sure she was just slid down to high green. She was her usual hungry but not anxious about food this morning. CPC as usual, all meals down the hatch. I think acrocat beans have many ways of describing hunger. :lol: Sort of like our local weather forecasters and rain (rain, showers, drizzle, mist, ...) which thankfully is off the agenda for today.

Neko is now in the solarium. It's not warm yet, but might be later today. I think she wanted to get away from me and the comb. There is a spot on her tail that wants to be a knot. It's just thick fur jumbled up and I wanted to try to tease it out. I got most of it, but Neko has very short patience for combing the tail. That is now and always has been off limits. :-x I had to go after it when her face was in the food dish. :lol:

Oh Wendy I can so relate! I have a kitty Teddy ( so named because of her long fine hair) and she is such a tomboy she would prefer to be matted and having fun. Getting her down for a good combing is a family event that requires 3 people. LOL

I am glad to see Neko's numbers so great. I am also grateful to not have a acrocat. I can't keep up with the weather report except this week. MN is raining and flooding. Finally today we have some sun and it is time to start to dry out.

As always thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help with getting Scooter OTJ.

Nice start to the day. :mrgreen: I'm glad you got some sleep. That always helps. Good luck getting Neko's tail combed out.

GREEN in the AM!!!

How do you give the gabapentin? We have capsules with powder now. The pharmacist insisted that it's flavorless. They also laced it with lactose. I'm thinking that is not a good choice for a diabetic kitty. Zener practically gags on the compounded versions but it helps to dilute with water.

I hear you on the sleep. My whole outlook is better with some nice sleep. Lovey has is a long haired cat too and she doesn't like the brushings. She goes to "bite" me without teeth.

Niko looking good!! So glad you were able to get some sleep.....I enjoy a good nights sleep when I can get it, which is usually when Spot is at camp Dian, lol
I have to lol at the tail combing. Hopefully you will get the rest out next time Niko's head is in the food dish!

Soul Sistas right in sync with their AMPS but one little brown soul sista decided to get a little greener. I wonder if Neko did as she was sunning herself on the solarium and keeping a watchful eye out for mommy and the comb :lol: :lol: :lol:

Should have waited another 5 minutes for that +9 test. ;-) Bean is forgiven, sun is out, solarium is warm. :-D

@Linda - good to see you. Figures you'd have a long haired kitty somewhere in the crew. Scritches to Scooter - he's a great example of the evils of dry food.

@Carla - Sleep is wonderful. Tail doesn't feel lumpy anymore, but I'll check it out again around dinner time.

@Liz - I'm giving gabapentin pills in a bit of pill pocket. The 25mg pills are very tiny, the 50mg less so. Neko still chomps on the pill but I give it to her right before I put her dish down so she doesn't spend much time on it before diving into her food. One of the few upsides to an acrocat. :lol:

@Catherine - Neko always only tolerated combing if it wasn't too long, except the tail. With her acromegaly and arthritis, I think it hurts more so I try to do things gently and quickly.

@Deb - Joys of a long haired cat. :roll: At least her fur is easier to manage than the Persian I had before her. Wish I had a FD kitty camp. ;-)

@Marje - Neko never goes for early greener dives during the day. That's a night time move. :roll:

Hi guys,
Rusty has a lot of fur clots (nits) this spring, too. He lets us work on them and is pretty patient. I got several today. He's proud of his coat and likes to look nice.

Glad you got some good sleep. Neko is looking good.

Neko is looking good again, in fact she looks to be getting ready for another dip into the green tonight!

We had our "liquid sunshine" yesterday but it's supposed to be nice this weekend. Hope your DH has good weather for the regatta this weekend.

I hope she stays flat tonight, I think I've got food poisoning from something I ate at lunch so I'm not on long. And DH is at the regatta at the wrong Vancouver (WA). Regatta did start today, all but one crew made the final but mostly fourths.

@Ella, Ruth - thanks for stopping by. Tail cleanup on hold for now.
